I changed out a fob battery and now I can't get my fob to sync back to my truck. Does anyone know of a tried and true DIY method for gen 3s? There is a bunch of info on line for gen 2s and other Toyota models (which I did try), but nothing works. I really don't want to have to get a locksmith involved. Again, this is a mechanical key with just lock/unlock/panic buttons for a manual truck. TIA

There should not have been a problem swapping the battery.

But, to get the fob reprogrammed uses TechStream. Pretty easy to do if you have it.

Yep, agreed. There is more to the issue than I am listing here. I had Techstream years ago but could not get the the dongle to work with a newer computer. So, I guess I will go work on that. Thanks.
