The 01-04 and 2000-2002 4runners use that style MAF. My IAT's read correctly and at at decent rate.

 

Even if it is half decent as an AIT the pipe it sits in is still a restricton

 

Can't be worse than the GM bird cage style :shrug:
I could always cut that plastic L off

 

I have a 99 taco though... V6 prerunner SR5
And my 99 4runner limited had the same one

 

You may have Cali spec trucks which got them a little earlier than the Fed spec.

@Speedytech7 did Rustin ever get back to you when you mentioned swapping a couple pins for the AC? I wondered about asking for that to be done on mine.

I have been reading through some of the earlier posts. Some of these I've read several times but somehow I still haven't liked ALL of posts like WTF I know I mashed that button 3 times already

 

I never got a full verbal confirmation but another buddy got a Boomslang not that long ago and the pins were done properly so they must've taken my advice.

Added 2 more degrees of timing and another pound of boost today. Just cause

 

Results are in, I'll get cleaner official print outs this week but had to share.

345hp and 414ft lb of torque on a Mustang Dyno. 12.4psi

 

I see why you added the extra timing and boost now

 

She's a ripper, I'm leaving the tune as is

Lol doesn't even sound that crazy cause all you can hear are the MTs on the rollers

 

Yeah the MTs are loud as hell on dual roller dyno like this, this thing is mostly turbo noises anyway, not much engine noise since the muffler is decent.

 

Damn. That torque drop-off. How to fix
