He said he is trying to find one....the reason he is selling his truck incase you didn't watch is so his negative equity doesn't affect the property they are buying

Mistake or not, if they advertise it, they have to honor it. But in the end, it should be discounted. People aren’t lining up to buy them in the first place.

Unfortunately it doesn't work, if it's mistakenly advertised for $10 they do not have to honor it. They have disclaimers for a reason that hold up. Attorneys write the disclaimers.

2nd in person and first test drive, my thoughts as owning a few gens and a Toyota fan boy who is was ready to buy one/still on fence, but know I’m gonna catch flack for my thoughts and supposed “hate.”

    1) the tech is awesome and the 14 inch screen is fine and not blocking any view or iPad like
    2) seating position seems higher to me and you felt like your sitting on top of the dash almost and the fact the steering wheel had no real play was not a fan, but some may prefer I never hated the old position
    3) the interior pieces are noticeably cheaper from the leather on the steering wheel to the plastic hard pieces, but let’s be honest they weren’t high end to begin with
    4) the tailgate seems really flimsy and was worried about any weight on it
    5) drive train is really nice, no noticeable turbo lag and was better slightly than my turd gen and substantial when flooring it
    6) transmission on the auto definitely made some hard sounds shifting from park to reverse etc
    7) turning radius sucks I drove a tundra after and honestly they drive/handle almost the same (as expected with same platform)
    8) the rear seat is more cramped only by the front seat back, legroom is similar but our car seat fit a good deal better in my truck
    9) the rear window is terrible visibility wise and slider wise
    10) the bed is deeper and the spray is nice
    11) it does look a lot better in person, super aggressive and that’s carried out inside as well, not sure how it will age but it’s for sure cool now

This sport had a $5k discount (port options and $58k) without even trying. But still didn’t seem worth it at $53k. The tundra despite its flaws and only $5k more seemed like the better buy. But I know different strokes for folks. I think they’ll sell well but it isn’t improved all around imho. Different and better in many ways, worse in others, def didn’t feel like I was driving a Tacoma. It’s definitely lost some of its character and Toyota feel, felt more like my wive’s RX to be honest lol.

Let my friend's employee drive my 24 Sport. His family has many Tacomas, Tundras, and American full size. Not a fanboy, very objective. After his 5 minute spin his comments were almost verbatim your 5, 6, 7, and 8. And I concurred. The rumored Stout has several of us ruminating on #7. Fingers crossed it's not same platform.

For now. I have deposits (refundable $500) 2 offroad premiums but I’m not super stoked like every other new vehicle purchase. It was a cool update but I just wasn’t sold sold. Like felt like I was gaining but sacrificing at the same time for more money, if that makes sense. Plus old LR is on volks and paid off lol

Just go ahead and get one! Or, get the RR and tell us how much better or worse it is than the 24 Taco.

Nah, didnt love it enough, could afford it, just wasnt like please take my money like I was hoping. Never had any interest in the RR, not sure where that came from. Was considering a 3rd gen raptor but having a hard time jumping from Toyota.

Sorry. Confused your previous Raptor comment with the RR. I know you’ve been mulling different trucks. Completely understand your reluctance in going away from Toyota, as my dad sold me on the resale value as a teenager many years ago. It’s been Toyota or Honda products for me for most of my life.

I haven't even sat in a new GAF Toyota truck, and I think your assessment is spot on. I saw a comment about the 4G describing it like a fullsize on the outside and a midsize on the inside. Some things have improved and somethings got worse, I don't think that makes it a terrible truck. That's most midsizes these days, makes me want a 2dr Bronco or Wrangler. Those don't have beds, it would be nice if Toyota built a small nimble BOF truck.

I did see a red Limited today with black badging nice looking truck.

Exactly, its very evident when you drive all 3. So started with the 4th gen and was like dang this feels wide and like a full size but not, with the same small interior I like and overall size package, then I jumped in the tundra and was like these drive exactly the same and feel the same (tundra felt a bit harder to drive nose wise to get out of the dealer lot space after he tossed me the keys), then got in my 3rd gen and it was just nimbler feeling and different felt like an old school truck and simple, not saying the 4th gen is bad its just a different feel than my 1st, 2nd or 3rd gens or SIL 4runner, the new BOF is different feeling for sure. I agree with the wrangler feeling really enjoyed driving and the feel of my mom's JLU, havent driven a Bronco yet.

No worries. I have vehicle ADD, honestly should wait it out but if I had to buy tomorrow I'd probably snag the Tundra to be honest even with the known issues.
