So I was watching some videos from Lagos and noticed there are a number of 2nd and 3rd Gen Tacomas on the road in Nigeria. Since 3rd gens were only made for the North American market, I am wondering if these Tacomas were stolen in the Us and Canada or sold and shipped there. Also wonder how many 3rd gens are driving around in other parts of the world?

^Yes those were most likely "exported" from the Port of Montreal in seacans.

A handicap friend of mine fell into a terrible situation with what is known as a 419 Nigerian romance scam. What they do now is quite extensive. Including creating LLCs in victim's names and a lot of other things. Anyway, yeah those are stolen trucks. Decent chance my friend payed the shipping cost.

So basically we are all paying for these stolen Tacomas in Nigeria through our auto insurance premiums!

I always wondered where the dude on here in Lebanon got his 3rd gen....

Me thinks Toronto or Montreal (Canada is the wildest commie shithole in North America..basically the Somalia of our continent) makes Cali and Mexico seem legit

Wasn’t there some guy who tracked his stolen car to the cargo terminal at the port but the moose patrol didn’t want to do anything about it?

Nigeria mods: Will have a DShK machine gun mounted in the back and be used for ethnic cleansing in the neighboring areas.

These 3rd Gens in Nigeria will be driving around for the next 25-30 years as they run everything to failure there.

My greatest fear is for my Taco to be stolen and shipped to some shit-hole 3rd world country. Having a manual transmission probably increases its international appeal . I wonder how much of a theft deterrent the chipped conventional key is, although I suspect little to none.
