To be honest my last bike was carbon but with aluminum wheels. New bike is carbon frame/carbon wheels and I've not noticed it. But I don't take my gloves off until the bike is on the rack now a days. Every so often I'll spin the cranks or something and I think that's when I'd notice it (if I was glove-less).

Small lift, slightly oversized tires, well...
WI uses a metric sh$tton of salt too and my truck doesn't look anywhere near that bad...but I go through the car wash with an undercarriage spray at least once a week in the salty months.

Amazing how many C and C people are out there. I have sporting arms for hunting but those are always cased in back seat.
Gotta be careful who you flip off these days.

I like both of those setups but I have a Trail Edition SR5 so I have power seats and that setup on the seat wouldn’t really work. I’m also right handed so having it on that side gives me more control in case it’s ever (hopefully never) needed. Prior to that I had it sitting in the cup I normally keep pocket change in.

I went with Goodyear DuraTracs, 265/70 R17 on Toyota OEM 4Runner Pro rims. Really happy with them, smooth ride on hard surface, plenty of grip on wet roads and have performed great off-road.

Hard to tell from the pic, but are you using the second carrier away from the tailgate?

I usually take my 3rd gen 4runner out to the trails, but I vaguely remember test fitting the spacing when I first got the taco and my One up seemed close to the tailgate when using my 1Up bike carrier. I suppose I could solve this by either attaching the second carrier and just using that. I have an extension on the 4runner's tow hitch that I'd like to avoid having to use. I should just stop being lazy and drag out the rack and bike to check it out. LOL.

Z precision Cupholder swap. Took 5 minutes, super easy and no gaps! And it's on sale!

I choose to leave the EBrake boot on while I swapped it. When putting back together start from the front and run both hands along the sides to ensure it's guided into the channels. Before putting the final push back together, check the back near the center console box as there are long guiding fins, you have to slightly pull backwards as you push the final bit down and it doesn't take much force. If you're pushing hard, something isn't lined up.

Yup, using the furthest carrier. Only has been a problem since the Alucab went on.

If you have the factory hitch you should be able to space the 1up carrier far enough out on the hitch to clear on the first carrier on the 1up, or at least get super close.

My hitch on my ATH bumper is several inches higher and closer to the tailgate than the factory.

Unfortunately with the DRT bumper the hitch will be even higher and closer than it is now, so I will definitely need an extension. 2ft is about the longest I've seen available online, so I'll probably start there. Will need to clear the spare on the swing out. I might still be able to get away without an extension and just use the second carrier too, so will see.

I posted this earlier but here it is again:

This was the list of options they sent me, I didn’t opt for all of them:

    MODS....

2 single thinner loops (100% mod people choose) - makes it easier to install under the trim

Swap out the fleece for a nylon liner (the most popular mod other than the thin loops)

Smaller brush loop / or / no brush loop at all (the side loop that is sized down slightly to fit a sharpie or pen)

Standard size (fits a 32/40oz Hydroflask) / or / smaller size (fits a normal water bottle) / or / XL (fits a 64oz hydroflask)

Standard / or / mirrored (If ordering 2) (have the pen loop face the same side so they mirror when installed)

Patch on the front(normal) / or / the back or leave it off the bag (only applies to bags with patches on them)

Remove the drawstring and grommet /or / keep the grommet and drawstring

Does anyone other than a dog ever go in the backseat? I did a partial "delete" of my rear seats and removed the seat bottoms. Took the rear headrests off and folded the seat backs down, it makes a level surface and more rear cabin space. Then I did something similar with a mat for the doggos.

Replaced stock skid plate. I had repainted them a month ago but wasn't happy with the result and had been kicking around idea of upgrading for awhile and got the rci plate on sale.20240628_184307.jpg
