experimenting a little tomorrow, doing Italian pulled pork Sammie’s but I’m smoking the meat. Sounds good in theory, will find out tomorrow. And then I have one of my chickens spatchcocked and brining. I raise around 1-200 meat birds every year

okay so the standard 1792 did nothing for me so I was hesitant to try this but at $44 she bangs.

I need some advice from any here with experience.

I am leaving Monday on a road trip with my wife from Ca to Austin Texas. My son will be starting Grad School at UT Austin in July and we are driving his car out there for a little adventure. Neither of us have ever been to Texas. We will be breaking up the 1,500 mile trip by stopping in Flagstaff, Santa Fe, Amarillo, Fort Worth, and Waco for one night each before getting to Austin where we will stay for 5 days.

I am trying to plan out my distillery visits along the way. As of now I am planning on the TX Whiskey Ranch in Fort Worth, Balcones in Waco, and Still Austin. Does anyone have any experience with any of these or other recommendations in or around the cities mentioned. The only other place that I could think of was Garrison Brothers, but it is about an hour away from Austin.

I believe that I can bring back six bottles in my checked bag when we fly back.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Perfect. I got myself a couple. It usually works out okay.

Would've liked to have grabbed a drink. I’m not too far from Park City. Maybe next time.

You could even check 6 750’s and a 375, total 5,000ml permitted per checked bag. On top of that, unlimited wine and beer. I flew back from Salt Lake City with four whiskey bottles and a six pack of beer.

For Santa Fe, there are some distilleries, but nothing that is national. Big Nose Kate - there’s a story behind her, friendly with Doc Holiday. But the partners in this distillery are also tied to Melissa McCarthey. Could be fun for you to check out if you are in Santa Fe.

Also, for food while in Santa Fe - Tomasitas is one of my top New Mexican food spots. The Shed is another spot to eat, both offer amazing food!

But I will say, Santa Fe is off the path - it’s about an hour north of Albuquerque, or I-40. I’m sure you have looked at that on the map, but if you do Albuquerque, let me know. I’ll provide some spots here in town as well.

Dinner and a show with Ray Stevens. They have a great little piano bar, with pretty reasonable prices. Papa had a ER10 and I had the A107.

Thanks for the recommendations in Santa Fe. My wife has a relative there that we are going to visit with.

We will just be stopping in Albuquerque to eat lunch at Twisters AkA Los Pollos Hermanos and to see a few of the other Breaking Bad locations.
