Raleigh North Carolina and surrounding areas

Hello fellow Tacoma nerds! I've just recently moved to Raleigh from Colorado, but don't hold it against me (native to Louisiana so it's ok). I spent a lot of time offroading in the Rockies. Where the heck can we get on the trail around here? Looking forward to seeing y'all out there. If you see this truck rolling around give me a holler.

Uwharrie (URE) and the beaches is about all we got.

 

What's the best Uqharrie trail, in your opinion?

I'm going to make a pit stop there on my way down to Louisiana for the 'giving.

Which is why after my initial onX sub I gave the app the deep six. I was hoping to find some mild trails closer to RTP just to exercise the Xfer case and front diff. Never did find anything. Sucks that I have to drive down to Fort Fisher just to get a little 4WD action (even though it’s really nice down there). I’d even be willing to pay to use private land.

 

You can pay to use private land across the street from URE Eldorado Outpost, they do overland training trailrides $200/head last I saw.

 

Guess I should have said private land closer to Wake County.

 

The potts jeep trail is up in VA along with a ton of forest service roads. There is actually a ton of wheeling in this part of the country, but most of it isn't stock/mild built friendly.

 

Lots around, just not in NC
