No. No need really. They have been pretty good the way they are. These have the compression adjusters on the resi too so that's good for tuning for conditions.

Also looks like I'm about to get the cheapest reheat if all time. $400 for some OEM diffs with 4.56 ratio. 171k on them.

 

That's a whole frame with suspension, diffs and axles? Hopefully they are in good shape.



And CO rebuild went pretty smoothly and are back on the truck. Feeling like they did when new again.

Nah the frame was a rusted out shit mess. Everything was but the diffs looked okay and just need paint probably. Plus I didn't want to deal with the frame so just offered $400 for the diffs and he agreed. So should have it regear sometime! Picking them up on Sunday. Not sure when I'd install them.

Me too! I thought you'd be in the 230s. pretty good. Needs a 2.1 pulley now.

 

It was a good day for both of us, came in at 345hp and 414lb ft of torque.

And I left it turned up, Jayson and I worked on the tune a bit and it is just smooth and powerful now. We actually figured out a pound of boost is good for 12hp on my truck. My first pull on 11.5psi was 333hp

My guess was 220-230 going in. So 240 was a pleasant surprise.

Thanks! It was a very pleasant surprise. I believe it has more in it easily too but we stopped since it already surpassed expectations and was still relatively unstressed.

 

agreed! Haltech paying off.

 

The haltech is a game changer. I will post a better iteration of the graph when I get it but take a look at the ramp up for the horsepower and the flat curve for the torque. That is all haltech.

 

Pretty bad ass. Also pretty inline with most other turbo builds I've seen.

The 5vz has a very flat torque curve from factory honestly. So not too suprising to see that, just more. Be cool to see the graph to compare more closely with Zanes.

 

We really missed the opportunity to compare to the ancient URD system to see the true gains of the haltech.

Went up one of my favorite spots that is just under 2 hours from home as today was upper 90s in the valley. Haven't got the new shocks on the van yet sadly, but it made it. Popped out of 4lo about ten times going up, but it still made it. Need to plan an overnight up there soon, such an awesome place.
