Got mine from Ourisman (McGeorge) - I think Dorman has one for cheaper. Mine wound up having a level sensor, made it harder to find aftermarket

Scored some(rather rusty) OEM 4.56 diffs for $400. Pretty stoked. 171k on them.

Assuming that's an open rear? A factory 4.56 locker would be a real score.

Sadly yes just an open 8.4 diff. Not sure a 4.56 elocker exists. Pretty sure all elockers are 4.10s.

And while id love a locker in this truck just to have it. elockers go for too much money around here. And added a Harrop or air locker is just a lot of money right now. Maybe someday.

My green 4runner had the Highlander package and my memory tells me it came with 4.56 gears and factory locker.

The 4.10 and 4.30 are the common e-lockers. I hear there is a 4.56 e-locker is out there but they are unicorns.

Not sure. I'd like to clean them up and get the rust off and paint them. Will see if time allows and how motivated I'd be to rip the front diff out haha

In 4runners odd gear ratios were a bit more common. You could even stumble on 4.88s.

However I be you had 4.30's at least according to this: And swapping a 4runner axle into a tacoma is just too much of a PITA

Ah you're probably right on the ratio.

Which is still pretty cool to have a v6 with 4.30s and a manual. Probably peppy feeling!

I'm pretty sure my single cab has 4.30s in it. Need to verify it at some point.
