Traded my rav4 in on this 2014 for daily driver duties. 133k miles, 1 owner and pretty clean. Gonna probably lose the cap. It will get some small mods but nothing too crazy.

Finally moved it after over a year of sitting. Had to chop the pinch welds off since I could barely turn and will start tubbing soon. Ever since I swapped a new cab on clearances haven't been the same with 2" lift and 35's.

In other news, have the truck running extremely well with the trd sc I rebuilt myself plus all of the engine mods and bolt ons. Expect to have it on a dyno soon with my hptuners after I finish welding my 304ss exhaust system together.

Ridiculous amount of torque and just screeching tires moving it around due to the rear Detroit locker and the new mods. Definitely miss it. Have a great weekend yall!

(Oddysey group 31 battery was relocated to cab if you're wondering from the pics. More on that later in my build thread.)

Nice truck. I told my wife that I was going to keep mine stock. 3 weeks later a Fox 3" lift was installed. Good luck with your mods.

Nice truck and welcome to the 2nd gen club AKA the best gen club. There are a ton of budget mods that you can do to improve your truck. I spent a ton on quality new mods on my 3rd gen that, in the end, was just a waste of good money on a stinker of a truck. I have done a lot to my 2012 and 2008 that are all budget friendly yet provided excellent results. Just a few examples are (1) Clazzio PVC seat covers. Half the price of Clazzio leather and have held up great after 3 years. (2) 3rd gen new take-off Tacoma Off Road front coil assemblies for a nice level and excellent handling. (3) 3rd gen Tacoma take-off rear leaf springs. (4) Used tool boxes for the bed for around $100 (if you do remove the cap). (5) New 4runner take-off wheels and tires for a better stance and a taller tire. (6) Atoto or similar Android head unit with NAV and other features for around $150. (7) speaker upgrades. (8) FREE fog light anytime mod (one of my favorites). There are tons of available cheap options to enhance your truck without breaking the bank.best 2.jpg

So did the Prinsu rack. It was on sale the OG version. Maybe because I suck and the creating the holes and sealing was a pain in the pecker

Valid point. Haha. It's definitely what I said about my 2015 when I bought it 5 or 6 yrs ago. Current pic of my bone stock 2015.

Thanks. This is my 2nd shot at owning a 2nd gen and keeping it mostly stock (that my 2015 in the background) so I'm fairly familiar with most of what you posted. I'm definitely doing an audio upgrade, maybe the 4runner wheels eventually, debadge it and get the grill surround painted just to name a few.

She got a random compliment in a parking lot today.

    "Sweet truck man."

LOL! 10 years old and still gets the compliments.

I used to get compliments on my 2002 Tacoma for the last 22 years, so you've got a few more years of this ahead of you!

A few years back I picked up a 1999 year old RHD Toyota MR2 and it's like my Tacoma is invisible :(

    Motorcycles get even more attention!

Now that is sweet. Very nice.

Well, I plan on keeping this Taco for quite a bit longer. Very low miles on it still... a ways to go!

Was finally able to get my regear and e-locker installed from the groupbuy a couple months ago. Then drove down and had the KD Tune installed

My first initial thoughts on the regear, felt some of the power back, almost felt stock again, probably would’ve gone back to being sluggish once I add the HD swing out and spare in a month. Would going 5.29 have been overkill? After the tune though, it felt like a different truck. More torque, more power, it felt great on the highway.

Going to measure my mpgs on my next fill up.

All in 1 fob and key now. I had the key cut at Lowe’s. I did have to disassemble the key from the fob in order for it to fit their machine. Even then the key couldn’t be pushed all the way in but I talk to the cool associate guy working there and he agreed to cut it for me even if it didn’t work and heyyyyyyy…. it works! Truck starts.
