i’ve looked everywhere but can’t find a pdf of the service manual. can someone send me a link or the file? checked battery and it’s charged. Shifter works and indicates the correct gear on the gauge cluster so i don’t think it’s neutral safety switch. what’s the location of starter relay and fuses? Also where are ALT AM1 AM2 fuses located? anything else i should check?

tested all the fuses and the starter relay and they all check out. put a booster pack on it and still no crank. got the engine to turn over a little by tapping the starter with a 2lbs hammer, so i’m guessing it’s the starter

Did you check for power at the S terminal (small wire) of the starter while someone holds the key in the crank position?

Also check the main power stud at the starter while the key is in the crank position, if those are both good then yea it's the starter.

nope was hoping not to, looks difficult to reach. is the main power stud the one that’s below the three other wires and has the grey cover over the end(second picture)? also how do you access the smaller wire?

Edit: Gonna go though the rest of the diagnostic, didn’t see it as it was hidden as a spoiler. Still don’t know how to test the wires at the starter though, any tips? how do i remove them, i don’t see a connector.

Yea they aren't the easiest to get to, the main terminal you just need to probe with a test light.
The small wire you would either need to backprobe with a suitable tool or pierce with a needle or piercing probe but be sure to seal up the hole with some liquid tape if you do this to prevent corrosion.

If you watch the one video in my signature, it's on a different vehicle but the checks are the same.
