Barrel rolls are easy. It's the wingover that'll get you.

    None so far
Even for training now if you're exceeding 60 degrees of bank or I think 20 degrees pitch parachutes are required. They don't want us to have any fun anymore.

Of course they don't count CFI spin training or stalls

    Quick observation.
Did the pins fight you because the leaves are bacwards?
I thought the 2 military straps s/b in the front?
or 'short side' of leaf facing front?

Oh there will be some mods all right
So when you do a long cast and you can see your spool through your fishing line, that's totally fine right?

Small lift, slightly oversized tires, well...
Ironman's specs show the pin centered, no short side. There is only 1 strap drilled/tapped for the e-brake cable.

Didn't think it'd be something you'd overlook but that pic looked different so I had to ask.

I know a few tricks. But, when you fish around wood, lost jigs are just part of the game. I used to get mad about it. Now, I just swear a few times and re-rig. :annoyed:

I guess it was time to stop yesterday...I was trying to get the pin to drop into the wrong hole. Went real well once I wasn't fighting everything!

Initial measurement is a lift of 1 1/2". I'm guessing it will settle around a half inch. Now I won't be going very slightly uphill all of the time!

To be honest, when I got the driver's side in and dropped the u-bolts on the passenger side, the difference was about 4" between springs at full droop. The new springs almost top out the shocks at full droop, there is almost 1/2" in the shock yet. You can see the difference in this pic:
    20240629_171548.jpg

The new springs appear to be very progressive as you put weight on them. The old ones were just flat! I could barely get 2 fingers between the bump stop and the landing pad, now I can get my fist in there easily.

So, my lucky truck got a pretty sweet spa day today. @Stoney Ranger would be proud of the time I put into it, and I'm not even retired!

Started out with a wash with the Clean Slate product. I got every nook and cranny and it gave it quite a raw clean. Every scratch was very obvious and exposed under probably layers of Kwik Trip car wash waxes.

Then I used the clay bar and Clay Luber spray. I've never done a clay bar treatment before. Nothing to it, but man there is a lot of surface area on these trucks! It takes a while.

Next up, I got to use my new random orbit polisher. It's the Torqx polisher from Chemical Guys. It's solid and heavy and feels like a quality tool in hand. It's a corded tool and is a bit loud after using it a while, but did a great job. I used it with the C4 cutting compound, which is advertised to remove swirls and scratches and recover finishes that aren't too far gone. You're then supposed to follow it up with their P4 product, which is a polish. I ran out of daylight, so I'll have to apply the polish tomorrow.

With just the C4 it already looks pretty impressive. I'll have to get some pics in daylight tomorrow. I'd say it probably removed 80% of the scratches, and it will probably look better tomorrow after I apply the P4 polish.

I took my time and worked on it for a little over 7 hours with a brief break for dinner. Probably another 2 hours tomorrow for the final polish coat.

    Bravo sir!

All that time put into it now will just make it easier to just maintain a good sealed layer.

I might have gotten inspired by the 4th of July sale mentioned and ordered even more stuff :anonymous:
