For summer gloves when I ride the monkey or the Klx are Mechanics gloves. Lots of styles to choose and lots of colors. I like the impact ones. And they won’t break the bank.

If you bump a little over 100 or find a sale the Rev It Dune gloves have been great for me. Gloves are a pretty individual thing.

Yea I didnt want to return the alpines and they aren't THAT bad.

My naked gloves are cheap but have survived many offroad crashes.

    Once I get a true road bike I'll re-evaluate.

Yeah looking for a standard "short cuff" glove. And yeah definitely personal preference thing.

I think I'm more pissed at loosing something, I can count on less than one gloveless hand how many times I have misplaced and left something somewhere.....

It's not all bad I have had those gloves for a LONG time many many thousands of miles and was looking to replace them soonish. But still grrrr

Picked up the Tusk Traverse bags to help with the need to bring more shit for simple day trips.
I have the Rhinowalk bags, they are more functional for longer multi day trips/camping. But not so much for day trips and around town. And had to be honest with myself, won't be using the Rhino bags for a long time while the old pup is still around.
So that justified smaller bags for my day excursions. :D

and was able to mount them without the straps across the seat, so they don't interfere with that.
Very impressed with them, they say not water proof, but I bet they can handle a pretty good downpour while moving. They are padded and lined on the inside. Spare tube should ride comfortably in them. Anything I carry that doesn't like water will be in the tank bag or tailcase anyway.
I was actually at the end of my gear space with a small soft cooler and a water filter in the tailcase, there was just enough room left over to stuff the jacket liners in it. And under the seat is packed.

I've had saddle bags of some kind on every bike I've ever owned and probably always will.

Who do yall use for bike insurance? Been using progressive and it’s not bad, about $30/month for my KLR650 with an additional 3K of accessories coverage, but I’m moving our auto coverage from progressive because their auto rates jumped so high and I haven’t figured out how that’s gonna affect my motorcycle rate (separate policy) so I’m thinking of shopping around for motorcycle rates.

I bought a set of those about 10 years ago. They were good, eventually the velcro at the wrist wore out and they started annoying me. The knuckle protector is pretty beefy, which sometimes was annoying feeling it there whenever you straightened out your hand. They weren't the most breathable, but were fine for summer temps.

Your motorcycle and auto policy’s are separate. One does not affect the other. At least mine never has and I use progressive.

I get a multi policy discount for having motorcycle and auto through them (and renters too, actually..), no idea how much of a difference it actually makes though.

You are probably right. I just don’t know how it all really works. I have auto, motorcycle and homeowners insurance all through them.

Progressive here. I actually just moved the Tacoma away from State Farm to Progressive as my State Farm policy has gone up by more than 50% in the past 2 years with zero claims.

Progressive here as well. I'm considering taking my KTM off insurance though and not using it on the street anymore. It would save me about $400/year with insurance and registration.

it'll come, keep at it! i think I'm hanging off, then see the pictures and it looks like i'm right in line lol.

oh man that looks bad. glad to hear he's stable and recovering though.

I do my insurance through Farmers, they run my motorcycle policy through Foremost. I pay about $1200/year across 3 bikes, one will full coverage.

i feel like you're riding more than ever with the bolt and I'm here for it
