Morning Shop

Set me straight if I'm just being a "get off my lawn " old man here, the house next to us is a rental. Not a nice rental either so it doesn't usually attract what I would consider good neighbors. It had been empty for about a month. We returned from a 3 day vacation to find that the windows of that rental had black garbage bags hung in them for curtains

And a vehicle parked in the narrow street infront of our house..

The garbage bags don't bother me, those aren't my windows. But for whatever reason it drives me nuts when people park in front of my house. Grumpy old man rant over, I'll go take my pills now haha

 

Used to live in town and faced this problem. Any event I knew ahead of time I'd park just enough so nobody could park in front of the house. Street parking is usually a free-for-all but it also irritated me to no end

 

And I got irritated when my neighbor ask if I was leaving my gooseneck trailer parked in my yard

No way I could have close neighbors

 

1974-76 Buick Rivera, it should be able to motor along all right with a Buick 455, the only engine offered under the hood. Even though the emissions standards of the day had strangled the horsepower output of big Buick there is still plenty of torque available.

 

Well at least I'm not the only one.

 

We got used to both houses beside us being empty, but times are changing on both sides. And I don't like it

 

Now I live semi-rural and get angry about the small business across the street and the way he parks his trucks/trailers. I know it's no business of mine to be like that, but I'm weird like that. All my vehicles have to be parked in a certain way and direction. I've even brought out the tape measure...

Can't forget about the yard!

 

And on that note, yesterday Mrs Green motored off in the project Subaru to visit her mother for a week, to cope with the blessed silence *cough* lonely, empty house I think I'll take a nap in the chair with the cat.

 

What’s parked in front of their house?

 

Mrs Green is out of town, you gonna do one of your homemade soups for dinner Rusty?

I've got a whole family of raccoons easing their way through my side yard at night right through my kids play yard. Normally I wouldn't care but I don't want scat scattered where my kids play. They might be getting an antifreeze cocktail tonight.

I thought I remember a few of you being on the hunting site rokslide, theres a super neat thread over there called- coolest things you've found in the woods, lots of airplanes, bugout shacks and a few bodies....
