Thanks everybody, Hoozier said thanks to all of you and gave plenty of puppy kisses to share.

Hoozier's story, when my wife and I both said let’s find a new dog she started looking at rescue websites as our last couple of dogs were rescues. She found a rescue over in Mobile, AL that had taken in a litter of 6 month old Schnauzer mix pups from a small local shelter that had them dumped by a puppy mill . She has always wanted a Schnauzer and these little guys look more Schnauzer than whatever else so she was pretty excited. We both liked Hoozier's colors and name so she filled out the adoption paperwork. We were approved and expected to pick him up a couple of weeks ago but he came down with a skin infection that they wanted to treat before releasing him. He’s finished with his meds and released by their vet so we were able to pick him up. He’s happily settling into his forever home now. Today was his first day walking in the woods and he doesn’t know what to make of all the smells and noises.

 

There is nothing quite as entertaining as watching a young pup exploring the world around them. Everything is a new adventure.

Teeth getting a deep descaling in a couple hours then this afternoon consult with radiation treatment oncology team. And it is Monday, back to reality even if I don't want to LOL. But would like to keep my teeth and even better yet stay alive. This getting old chit is a lot of work!
