yes you will, keep it stock or you will have a 90% chance of developing some sort of shitty vibration or who knows what. These trucks are unstoppable and built great and my theory is thats exactly why they have problems when you mess with their geometry, b/c their built so tight, unlike Ford, Dodge, Chevy etc.

    ^yep...what he said.

Personally..I love the look of my truck with the 6" lift and even though my truck has the shakes like I do after waking up hungover....I will deal with it. It pisses me off and is anoyying as fuck still to this day 3 n half YEARS later but I love the way it looks and performs off-road. When these tire wear out i might look into something different in the tire department and see if that helps. I got a buddy who works for Firestone that can get me an amazing deal on some Hankook M/T 33"......I might go that route.

just bought a set of hankook dynapro 33" with less than 1000 miles on them. Changed them at school, balanced them and it completely got rid of my speed-wobble. and they look great, too. I'm actually surprised at how smooth the truck rides, even with the sloppy u-joint and the 1/2 ton leaf pack with front shackles welded on further up the frame. woo!

Good to know. Maybe I will give em a shot. My buddy at Firestone had 38"s on his Dodge and said they were awesome tires.

When you get new tires the shakes go away or subside temporarily, but they will be back, believe me. I put 60,000 miles on my Taco with 3 different lifts and 3 different sets of tires. All my lifts ultimately had the same outcome. New tires fix the problem for about 15-20,000 miles and then SHAKES return.

Do as tacomagus said, don't lift it. If you do you will have problems, just hope they are minor ones. Truck is great stock.

OK i bought a 05 rebuilt title pre runner with 285/70/18 terra grapplers and it shakes like hell but the guy i bought it from said he never tried to fool with getting it fixed. could it be the tires being just to big. Also do you think alinement and mount and ballance will fix it.

go to a reputable alignment shop and have the tires rotated and road forced. If that doesn't fix it than could possibly be drive shaft or some sort of bearing but that would make some noise. Does the steering wheel actually shake, or is it a vibration felt elswhere?

Well i had the tires remounted and ballanced and the truck put in alingment. but the wheel shakes still but it is alot better. when you hit a chug hole though it wants to move left or right. The tires have flat spots in them also and they roar pretty loud for terra grapplers. I don't know wether to buy new tires and try that or go to a 16" wheel and uses a set of bf goodrich tires that have about 5,000 miles on them (came off pops dodge he had) but i am at a loss of what to do. Can someone help me.

PS. had big o do all the recent work

Just finished putting on the ring spacers for the wheel and hub bore. 106.1mm-4.24"(108mm) fits like a glove...it won't be until Monday when i hit the highway to go to work that i will see a difference or not...by June i should have new tires and get balanced and aligned after i install the billy 5100s and get re-geared to 4.88. that should work out any shakes left over after these rings have been installed :) Hopefully this all works!

My truck has positive camber bad! 5100s set at 2.5". Also running wheel spacers. I can let go of the wheel at 100 MPH and it tracks straight with no vibration! Not bragging, just saying!

same thing is happening to me.. but my problem occured after i roated the tires.i put the back in the front and the front tires to the back. well around 45-60 it shakes pretty bad so i took them to get balanced and they told me it was my lug nuts? idk about that since it was driving fine before i did the rotation.. just my story and still no solution.. ill find out when i but new tires soon (after i fix my front end squeak)

I have a 06 TRD Sport is stock with stock 17" rims and tires. About 60-70mph the steering wheel will shake for about 24 secs and stop for about 15 secs and then start all over again. The inside of the tire is wearing a lot faster. I'm thinking it an alignment what do ya'll think?
