    Small lift, slightly oversized tires, well...
    Measured right after install, they were 2.5" above stock, probably settle to about 2".

    The best tools grip the housing at the full-base, where strongest (but where the crack occurred anyway). Some use a tool on the sides where the stresses can exceed the design of the plastic.

    I am not sure what you or others used, but if not something like the Motivx tool, it might have been damaged.

    minor, TRD skid plate, front recovery points, Regken mud flaps, rear diff breather, AC drain pipe extended. Upgraded sound with active sub woofer, tonneau cover, CB radio.

    Thanks, Don't really need fairing piece, because of not a lot of use day by day;
    Yes, it's pricey, but I also have purchased different set of hardware and can use it also on
    my wife's Mazda. ;)

    Threw on a set of 265/75r16 KO2s. They feel great on the road, I like the change from the OEM Kevlars so far.

    Mine had been over-torqued from the dealership's 2 oil changes included in Toyota Care.

    I do my own oil changes now and find the OEM Aluminum Housing a sturdier choice.

    Ordered from Amazon and installed in Sep 2018 on my 2018 Taco. When I went to my purchases just now to look up/confirm, the page indeed now says, “This does not fit 2018 Tacoma”. Well, somebody needs to tell that to the part that’s been on there for almost 6 years…..

    If you use the motivx make sure it's the new configuration. Their early version had cutout(s) for the “ears” and relied upon that contact. Their new version just uses the flats, like a box end wrench on a bolt head/nut.

    In the spirit of the thread, I drove my real 3rd Gen to the mailbox to pick up this neat little Hot Wheels 3rd Gen. It's modeled after the Taco owned by one of the Hot Wheels designers.
