framing sucks because things can get heavy and it's a lot of work.
drywall, i dont mind unless it's full sheets on the ceiling.
muddding, i mind a little more because of the mess.
paper tape does suck but it's at least easy to work with.
painting sucks ass because you hvae to be too careful.

in conclusion......working on houses suck. lol.

 

I guess I was referring to patching. I think I also meant to post in @geekhouse23 thread but here works too.

I had a leak in my sewer pipe (due to me being dumb) and after fixing the leak, i now have to patch some drywall, for the first time. Paper tape doesn't work for me. I may switch to mesh.

 

When I do patch work I always cut back enough so I have at least half a stud exposed on at least two sides. Yes, you’ll need a bigger patch, but it makes the repair way stronger and easier to finish/blend

yeah, either that or you're going to need some blocks of wood to help attach the new patch to the old drywall.

 

Lol I should update mine to "house build".

Mesh works well for me depending on the patch job. Removed some old keypads for new ones and patched up some pretty big holes that were unnecessarily large when they were installed.

 

Bro you left us without updates after you bought the pool table in 2019. That can no longer be considered a “build”. That thread is a historical landmark on TW now
