Possibly two teams. Just for fun I checked and a 90 K CAD truck at 7.29% over 6 years will end up taking 110, 000 of your dollars.

The bro price is strong. Screenshot_20240702_124943_Chrome.jpg

My local dealership had a record month in June. He said if they had the inventory they could have easily sold 3x more Tacomas. Zero Tacomas on the lot, a sprinkling of other models and about 8-10 Tundras.

So that sales chart indicates that the Tundra outsold the Tacoma for the month of June. 13k iforce tundras and 4k iforce max

The MSRP on Tundra v Tacoma could also play in. You can get a limited Tundra for just a few more thousand msrp and threw some discount on the Tundra and it might even be more truck for less money

    Yeah.
Yeah, I bought a new 2006 Tundra because it was cheaper than the Tacomas at the time, lots of discounts and incentives. Plus I didn't want one of the early 2nd gens. Seems like a similar situation now.

Was my thoughts or it could be the GM who drove it for a bit, but still history is unknown.

Yep, they had me at $5k more for a loaded Limited Tundra OR after discounts and 2% better term, had me thinking maybe I roll the dice on the engine, lol.

I read they had to shut down the Tacoma plan a few times waiting on parts from suppliers. Fewer built fewer to sell.

The dealers around me have more Tacomas, but I would not call the lots plentiful.

    Plenty of Tundras.

No 2024 4Runners to be found. The ones you do find have 8k in PIO and DIO.

    Hardly any Land Cruisers.

    Zero GX 550’s.

2% when the rest of the Toyotas are at 8% is yuge. Monthly payment shoppers are salivating. Given that they changed the engine parts in March? It maybe a good time to buy by end of year … fixed engine (probably) all that bad press and end of year… the 06/24 + build dates should be good

F that, but it is for the top dog. And it hunts nice things, so maybe it's worth it?

    So which is it?

Personally I have seen very few, but they seem to be gaining steam. I saw 2 in 2 minutes the other day, one was towing a boat. I think they will be everywhere soon enough, but so far it is odd that 6 mos. after launch, I have seen so few where I live.

I've seen about 15 new tacos now and 4 cybertrucks lol.

Record month all Toyotas combined. They only sold 10 Tacomas total. They just don’t get many. Must be supply chain issues?

    My $0.02

A guy rear-ended my ‘21 Off-Road 4x4 in April. Bodyshop found massive damage under the bed, effectively totaling it.

So, we were definitely in the market for a new Tacoma. And the plan was to just replace(as best as we could) what was taken from me.
We checked every dealership/used car lots/etc that were in a reasonable driving distance and the only Tacoma we could find of equal build(or better) was one!

It was a used 2023 Premium Tacoma with 6K miles on it for $60,000.

I looked at numerous Sports, and the truth is we couldn’t find one with the options we wanted for a reasonable price.

So we ended up getting a new 2023 4Runner, Premium Off-Road 4x4 X-Series(all black) with every single option we had in my Tacoma + some extra stuff. And my wife was able to talk them down on the price(she worked for 2 Lawyers for years).

And if I’m being perfectly honest, I’m not a big fan of the color choices for the new Tacomas either.
99% of the Trucks we saw on lots were the Silver Sky Metallic.
God bless you if you like that color. It just isn’t for us.
