I did an entire audio system upgrade with this Head Unit as the main focus. I am not an audiophile by any means but holy crap!! I nearly sat in my truck all evening just listening to music and playing with the head unit. I love it so much! Here is a list of everything I used.

Again, I'm not an Audiophile but I am in love with the way this turned out. It was a fairly simple and streamlined install.

I glued on some closed cell foam with a slit cut in to allow the door clips to pass.

The saga of the Spod/3TPAM continues. It was over 100deg again so, back at it. Why go swimming when you can sweat your sack off in the garage? My only solution to the controller/steering wheel proximity, since I am mating RAM mounts to 67 Designs parts, was to get creative. I checked the 67D website and looked for anything that would help and found nothing. Dremel time. I cut off this gear piece so I ended up with a flat surface. I then used the 67D Spod mount as a template, drilled and tapped holes, and will be prepping for paint this afternoon.

Pricing has come down since I first got it a few years ago but as of July 24th they will no longer support MQA.

 

Added an impressively high quality Prinsu style knock off roof rack and light Bar, Apache case and 8.2’ awning and changed MXT 275 antenna location to have a better ground plane up on the roof rack.

 

This is freakin' awesome!

Thanks! Install was super easy. Accomplished it solo with help of a blanket in a short amount of time. This is a Clamber rack, I was surprised by the quality for the price and the ease of the instructions. Everything was packaged great and the welds, while not pristine, were also not terrible either. It came with handles and really beefy awning mounts

After rounding off 3/4 of the TRD skid oil filter access panel Allen bolts, I replaced them with good stainless steel hardware. Similar metals and whatnot so I'll check it with every 5k oil change. I don't see it being a huge issue with them removed that frequently though.

 

I thought they were torx. That could have been a contributing factor to their demise.

 

Either they were Allen or the prior owner stripped them already, very possible lol

 

I'm not sure how important this step is but I think I did that when I installed mine - just to make sure it was done per instructions.
