Hello all! I have a bunch of parts for sale on my 2TR.
    IMG_2387.jpg

LCE headers, CAI, RIPP coils, you name it. Everything is for sale, motor died on me so I decided to part it out instead of letting the parts rot, someone will find a use for it. Message for pricing! Thanks all

EDIT: Hello everyone, I actually decided to part out the entire truck, not just the engine. It needs more time and money than I can give it. I'd be willing to sell the whole things but no one around where I live wants it, so time to part out and get some money I put in it back. Just let me know what parts anyone is needing and I'll give a price

Hi there, one of them went bad before my truck died so I'll give you a really good deal on the other 3. I'm pretty sure you can order one on the RIPP website by emailing them. 90 bucks plus shipping for the 3. I think I spent near 300 on them.

The coils have not even 5000 miles on them. If you really need me to though, I can contact ripp myself for you and try to get a replacement for you instead but I would likely charge a little more if I do that. Thanks man

I know it's not in the parts you listed but would you be interested in selling the rear sway bar kit and URD short throw shifter, and if so how much shipped to 91321?

I would be down to sell the sway bar kit. Not so much the short throw just because of how many miles I've put on the short throw. I'll check now to see the shipping costs but where you live vs where I live I do not think it will be super cheap.
Were you wanting the coils? Or anything else you were wanting I could possibly make a package deal for a bunch of items and give you a better price for it all. Thanks!

I can understand about the URD shifter.

We'll just have to see what it ends up after shipping. But yeah, it may be up there just because of the dimensions. Let me know, thanks.

For sure. I think shipping is going to be around 40 ish dollars which isn't horrible. Was it just the sway bar you were wanting? If you want to do 200 for the sway bar + shipping I can do that and look for a box. It's just bulky and would require a big box

$200 shipped is reasonable. I don't need anything else, I'm already on the DJM 3/3 kit with Viking coil overs and shocks all the way around.

I'll PM you with a shipping address and to get your Paypal info.

Would the straight 6 even fit?

If so it’s going to be a damn tight squeeze‼️ But one thing good is the R-155 5 speed transmission should bolt up directly! Supra owners just have to vent the R-154 trans (same trans but with different 1st & 2nd gears) better because the extra HP causes the transmission to get hotter. If it’s not vented better it blows oil / lube out the rear seal on the transmission.

I had to use Vette accessories on an aluminum 5.3 LS. But I’m using an upgraded stock drop in radiator..

I wish! That would be such a fun project. I decided to go a different route... and got myself a 6.2 Camaro with the 6 speed. Someday though I plan to LS swap the truck!

Well hit me up when you decide I can save you some headaches‼️ Been there done that or learned the hard way!
The motor mounts are now bolt in after we sent the design to a manufacturer. I’m using them and they have about 2” of forward & backward adjustment. My engine is right about in the center of the adjustment. Just need a BFH to move the firewall if you want it back more. I’m about 5/8” from touching the firewall. You need a bit of Clarence for wiring.

What was the hardest part of your LS swap? And were you able to bolt up the stock transmission or did you have to get a different tranny?
It could be worth it to throw a junkyard LS in her to get her back on the road again!
I would imagine the wiring is the hardest part.. at least to me it seems that way

    You imagined correctly!!
The engine bolts in w/ $140 mounts. I used an upgraded factory radiator with two factory Vette radiator hoses. Some parts were cheap and others not so cheap.
I hate autos so I purchased a new Tremec TKX wide ratio 5 speed. We mounted it with a little 4 x 4” plate welded to the factory cross member drill two holes and a stock trans mount. The stock drive line was shortened 2” balanced with new u joints. The engine is an aluminum 5.3 better known as 06-08 L33 HO. I had it refreshed and upgraded some of the weak parts with the only real upgrade was a torque cam from Summit. Running cast iron exhaust manifolds with a new custom exhaust system with two cats and two of the largest mufflers Magnaflow makes mounted in series.
Lower radiator hose cut in half and used a piece of 16” of powder coated aluminum pipe.IMG_0627.jpg

    That's awesome!
Well I kind of just pulled the trigger on purchasing a junkyard 5.3 LS. Now I can't decide between putting it in my E46 or the Tacoma, choices choices huh
In the end I'm 100% swapping both to an LS but for now it's figuring out what is cheapest cost wise. In total how much do you think you'll have spent on everything?

They make a complete LS Swap kit for the BMW don’t they?

The only thing available for the Tacoma is motor mounts and I have no idea if they would work for a 4x4!
As for what I spent? I stopped keeping track some time ago. Because of buying parts that were wrong or didn’t work. For example I purchased all the accessories (alternator, water pump, AC compressor, etc.) from an 2004 Vette and the only thing I used was the Balancer Pulley!!! I ended up buying mostly all new accessories from ICE billet. I also purchased a complete pull out and the only thing I used was the short block & alternator. The rest was trashed or sold for pennies on the dollar. I had a custom wiring harness built that was $1200 with the ECU that was supposed to be turned w/ HP Tuners and trust me it wasn’t. I then paid $600 for a tune that pinged from the minute I got in the truck.
If I was to do it a second time I spend less than half of what I spent on this swap. It’s a lot of headaches and work but mostly cost. But boy is it fun when some kid in a Honda wants to race because I have oversized wheels and StopTech’s. I let him get a car length on me out of the hole. I pull beside him before the Opposite crosswalk, then shift into second and pull him hard. I push in clutch and hit the brakes as they go flying by the cop hiding behind a building with radar just to write him a ticket. Poor kid in a red Civic w/ a fart can muffler.

Yessir they do! Just got my 5.3 LS today super stoked about it. The E46 bmw is one of the most common BMWs for a LS swap they have kits of absolutely every single part you're needing down to the bolt.
Man I would love to put a LS into my truck though. Im gonna have to hit you up when I'm ready to do it! Do you have any videos of it running and driving? Would be so cool to see

I would but the gentleman jerk I hired was because he has a YouTube channel where he talks about repairing wiring issues on LS Swaps. Now I know why he has so many issues is because he’s so DAMN CHEAP! He wired my truck with the wires he pulled out of the factory wiring harness! So instead of having a Carbecue I’m paying a lot of money for it to be rewired correctly. And the shop I took it to is backlog about 2.5 months at this point in time.
When it’s up and running I will.
