I like how some of the streamlights can be serviced without removing the light, just by unscrewing the front element.

The RMR is still a pain in the ass, because you have to break the loctite, remove it, remove the plate, pop the battery, reassemble and Loctite everything back together, and make sure it cures.

And of course you need a lens pen to get grubby fingerprints off of it.

This is the most dad thing I've read in a while. Making sure yourself her duty weapon will perform. Love it.

I am tempted, but my proximity to CommieFornia and likely travel travel there means that my G45 (17 round) is nice to have but not an option. My G44 is my only 10-round option but is only 22 LR. G43x is not allowed because of the round capacity 10-round capacity limit. Sig P365 is the next-best option I see recommended but I want to carefully select how to spend my firearms dollars. Maybe a Sig P365XL with the 10-rounds magazine ...

Why not a G19? They are calif compliant and they have 10 round magazines for them. Great carry gun, great home defense gun.

Yeah ... it is coming back to me. I had other things to focus on for a couple of months. Still ... Sportmans website says the stock G43x is not Cali-compliant (NY, Washington yes but not Cali). Easier to get past the local constabulary with some respect with the 10-round even if not Cali-compliant, but too late in my day to think too hard on it.

EDIT: I know much of the "complaint" is because Glock does not micro-stamp the firing pin.

    Thanks for the information.

It's 10 rounds with OEM magazine but I run Shield Arms 15 round mags here in Wisconsin. Depending on where I travel, I can swap out to 10 rounds mags. What about a 1911 chamber in 45 for California?

Been years since I fired a 45 ... years ago as an "introduction to handling guns" session when they run you from 22LR to 45 revolvers to know *something*. Which 1911 version (brand) do you like?

EDIT: It is all coming back ... Shield S15 magazines for G43x, and the metal magazine release because the S15 metal magazines kill the stock plastic magazine release.

Colt commander would be my choice. Primary Arm 15 rounds mags also work and I think they recommend the regular plastic mag release.

I'm wanting to put a threaded barrel on my 48 that stays in the MCK chassis. Any of you guys have any experience with a Faxon? I have one in my EPC-9.

Has anyone tried an Elftmann trigger? I have them in every AR platform and love them. Never changed a single Glock trigger. At $269 a pop.....not sure if I want to go down that road.

I'd go with an Agency trigger before I spent what Elftmann is asking

What was your experience with the Elftmann? Have you ever tried their AR triggers? I'd like to know why the Glock trigger didn't perform like their AR ones.

I don't have any experience with it...but an Agency I have a ton of experience behind on several pistols and it's significantly cheaper
