    Awesome trip!

Thanks for keeping things ambiguous. Way too many amazing places are completely overrun due to the influencer and geotagging BS.

    I'm nick-naming this thing "Whore's Thammer"

Its like Thor's Hammer but every swing hurts your soul. Thanks @YamaDirtrider for lending this to me.

This thing has been laying in the garage for almost 6 months waiting for me to get my ass in gear, but the next 28 days waiting for this to cure is gonna feel like forever. Plenty to do in the meantime. Tools are a mess, everything's covered in dust.

    It's all coming together though.

Oh i know. Between working on Aaron's truck at your place, and coops truck last weekend, with everything at a comfortable height...motivation to get this thing in is at an all time high. Few obstacles left.

Working on wiring while I wait for cement to dry. I bought these elbow connectors after we talked a few weeks ago, @Nazupag524

They do 4-14 gauge. I'm going from 6g at the weld plug to 12g for the lift so should be perfect.

Slacking on updates because I'm lacking progress. Got the holes drilled and anchors installed, but I cannot for the life of me get the posts level with the cross bar installed.

I've double, triple, and quadruple checked my measurements. I am within 1/8 of an inch of being absolutely perfect with the distance between the posts at the base, but somehow the top is off by almost an inch. There's no adjustment in the cross bar, so I either need to cut all 10 anchors, and drill new holes a few inches away and try again, or slot the cross bar brackets to allow me to level the posts. Neither of those options are appealing to me.

Would a spacer underneath the post raise it up the inch you need?

I've got shims for it, I can level them independently, but the cross bar doesn't fit if I do. I bolt the cross bar in first, I can only level one post, and the other is forced off alignment

With the posts perfectly level, this is how far off the top is. Supposed to be lined up with the inside edge. I was able to get the inside bolt hole on the cross bar through the outside mounting hole on the bracket. Like a full inch off.

    20240602_141736.jpg

Posts are supposed to be 8' 3 and 3/8" according to the manufacterer.

I dunno...that looks pretty fucking close to a hair under 99.5" to me in the corner.

    20240705_193937.jpg

    I'm absolutely baffled.

The fuck if I know. It makes absolutely no sense that this shit isnt lining up. @YamaDirtrider came over and went over the instructions with me and checked my measurements and confirmed that I'm not crazy...just maybe a little to anal about getting it perfect.

Thanks @Operator8 for a little :boink:

Slotted the cross bar brackets today.

    20240707_104724.jpg

It's better but not perfect. It's still off by 1/2 to 3/8 of an inch at the top. Both bubbles are kissing the line.

Am i being to picky about getting this perfect, or is it time to send it?

Have you measured the distance between the posts bottom middle and top?

No, I haven't done that. just going by the level. We also had Josh's laser level indicating the same as the bubble level.

Gotcha. You definitely want the posts plumb because as the arms go up you don’t want them moving in or out. So weird that top bar is like that. Almost makes you wish you would’ve taken measurements before you guys took it down.

I interpret that to mean that if there is one situation you want to be anal about things being plumb, it's this one right here with 6000lbs over my head. Got it. Good advice.

I was able to capture one measurements from the slot on base plate before hurricane josh came in and things were in pieces. That meausrement is in fact, 1" off from what mine is from that same spot. But that doesn't jive with the manufactures specs in the manual. I'd have to kick the bases out another 1/2" on each side to achieve that.

Stupid question but you’re not using the manual I gave you for measurements right?

Maybe keep an eye out at local shops that have the same lift. You could measure theirs if you find one.
