true but lets be honest she clings to me when we are together so she wont be on the backrest lmao. i told her we will bolt the sissy bar on when we do trips but for just around town we wont put it on. fyi she wanted it off the night i brought it home lol she hates the look of it.

But of a photo dump/ life update.

Last Friday I took a flight out to El Paso Texas to move the gf up here to Missouri with me. After a 7 something hour flight and a 17 hour drive home we made it home! And I promptly got sick on Saturday night to Sunday morning! So have only had an hour or two where I've felt okay to go and do anything.... So we used that time to go out on the new bike together. Also yes yes the sissy bar is back on for her safety so she doesn't slide back anymore when riding with me.
Got the new graphics on the klx
    Got a new helmet
    She ordered a new helmet
Ugh I think that's about it!

Only other but is I'm still sick and it got a bit worse so hurrray!

honestly kinda behind on posting pics in here so ill see what i have and do just a mashup of pics. i havent done anything to the truck minus a cab mount chop since it got annoying that if my alignment was slightly out the truck would rub... most of my time these days is messing with the two bikes anymore we go out on rides on the bolt a lot to the point ive put 1k miles on it since i got the bike back on the 21st of last month! so getting a good amount of miles on it. klx has been ridden once since then but since i dont get many opportunities to go out and ride dirt it kinda sits how it is atm.

went and looked at bikes yesterday with the gf to see what she can fit on and be comfortable with. we plan to go to another dealer today so i can see a klx300r instead of the dual sport version... also hopefully to find a rebel for her to sit on, we would like to check out a damn grom but nobody and i mean nobody in 200 miles has one in stock! just z125s and monkeys! where the hell all the groms at!!!

at this point she was just looking at me like realllly lol but she ended up liking the 140rl for a dirtbike to learn and just have fun offroad with. was trying to get her a dual sport but she doesnt feel comfortable on one yet and is a tad scared of it which i understand but she liked the little 140 and how high it sat so we will look for a used one and get her going on that.

I still have our klx300r. The seat height is about the same as my kx450x.
I got some lowering links for it but never put them on.

how have you liked the klx300r? ive been wanting a more simple trail bike that doesnt require crazy maintenance done so many hours like a lot of the kx models and other brands like yz and so on.

It's a great bike, got plenty of power and good suspension. Yet feels safe after I got the kx450x.

thats what ive been reading is the klx has a great suspension out of the box and feels great on trails. haha i can imagine! the kx450x would be one hell of a bike to do trails with but i just dont wanna deal with all the maintenance it comes with or id be grabbing the one locally for around 5500

Completely blew my mind how good the stock suspension was on the 300r.
Keep in mind the 450 weighs 50 lbs less, and has over twice the power of the 300r.

    It's crazy. Fun, but crazy.

ya thats what ive been reading. we got about 7 guys in the bike thread that have the dual sport ones so ive asked a few of them what they think and read a lot of reviews and videos on it and it seems to be a solid bike if you are wanting to do some trails and not race with it. which im not gonna race haha just gonna have some fun on some trails!

that is true! i test rode a ktm xcw 2 stroke awhile back and maaan that light weight and power it had was nuts and i reallly wanted to buy it but i decided to buy the cruiser over it. the kx450x looks like one hell of a trail monster! and would be complete blast to ride! minus the crazy part haha

Well dealership part 2! Today we went and looked at the klx300r and Honda rebels and surprisingly a grom! This dealer just got a shipment of 6 in this morning!

So first thing first the klx300r it's the grey model which I do like but personally prefer the green. Oh well I'm not picky on colors! Now this bike feels a lot lighter then the dual sport model since almost all the stuff on the back of the bike is gone! It's suspension is also more plush but firm? Idk how to explain it? But for sure liked it more and want it over the dual sport model. I went and talked numbers to see where we are at with it and wellll they are the most expensive out of the few dealers I've talked to at 7400 out the door... The dude did say if I don't like the price we can work on it since other r models are selling in the 6600-6800 range idk how well they can do but worth a shot once the klx400 sells.

Now to the fun part of having the gf sit on bikes and take pics while she glared at me! Haha

She tried all three rebels 300,500,1100. The 1100 is way to big for her but she wanted to sit on it because it's blue. Because bitches like blue as she always says haha. No pic of this one thou.

First rebel is the 300 in the red color. She fit perfectly on it and liked how it felt and how light it was feeling. But we both think it might be to small for her to learn and grow on.

Next rebel is the 500 in the narco grey color with a load of mods on it making the price on the sticker 8300! Not otd price btw!! Same for and feel as the 300 with a tad more weight to it but overall she felt fine with it.

Last rebel is the 1100 and well that was a no haha for to much power and overall comfort she just didn't like it haha.

Next we tested out the Kawasaki eliminator 450 she liked it's seat and feel but felt it was more cumbersome to move compared to the rebels. Also felt it was to wide. Again no pic whoops

Next the groooom we finally found one! And it was blue haha. She got to sit on it and it was slightly lower for her but still a tad high. She did like the from but liked the rebel more but time will tell on what she prefers and wants.

Next for shits and giggles a drz125 be ahse it was a baby bike haha

Also the last pic is her passing out on the way home so if she finds out she is gonna kill me for taking that one haha

ive been eye balling that one for a bit thou since its the 23 with the better suspension over the 24-25s.

ill give them a call and see if the 5k is otd or if it still has the silly fees..
