Here is how I did all of mine. 4/0 battery to alt (270 amp)
4/0 from battery to winch (winches pull over 400 at full pull)
    2 from battery to starter
4 from battery to engine bay fuse panel.

It is 100% of the time better to overkill electrical than to underkill it. It’s not cheap to do proper. You will have about 800$+ invested in wire. But you will NEVER have issues.

Also. Crimp every cable end with a hydraulic crimper. It is far superior to solder.

I believe Marine grade cable qualifies as OFC. I used it for my secondary batt because it's more plentiful here in Florida.

Even if you send him an email, he will answer your questions in great detail, even spilling some secrets. Great guy, better resource.

Have you ever had any issues with your battery?
Looks like a MTZ 34R, I don’t know if I have bad luck or I’m doing something wrong but I am waiting on a third replacement for mine now. First one may have sat dead too long but the second was always disconnected and only lasted a year.

What is your charging voltage? AGM’s should be charged at a higher voltage. In the realm of 14.7. This is mine on cold start lol.

Pretty sure you need both cats (and approved ones) before the collector (like the factory pipe) to be Cali legal; probably even then it would be an uphill battle without a CARB #/stamp. So yeah, “off-road” only lmao

Oh, if I start selling these things they will be “off-road use only” to cover my own ass. But there’s always a way to get that inspection passed!

I looked around and couldn't find anything specific. I would say the risk is low but the consequences are high.

Haha, you mean Union Pacific?? Lmao, I get it, I say I live on the OP :)

Yeah, when I was down in San Diego I had a friendly Smogger who would take a Benji, but I hear CA now requires cameras installed in all smog stations… not that this would actually deter determined folks but still, FYI. But jeez, can you imagine the poor suckers who have to watch the footage for compliance??

Happy to live in a non inspection state! But even so. It takes maybe an hour to swap parts around!

In the market for a entry level tubing bender.
    Jd2?
    Swag?
    Eastwood?

    Normal 1 1/2 - 1 3/4 .120 wall. Bumper/suspension tubing

Probably will go manual unless I can find a used one already with a ram. I know swag makes an adapter for a manual setup.

Just looking to do DIY projects with it, not make a living using it.
