Yeah he put a photo of her and then complained about other dudes being creepy, in a creepy way. The 318 was apparently a popular option for the Duster that year. So maybe he just rebuilt the stock engine.

We had 2 raccoons in the driveway a few nights ago

 

Not sure if the prices were good but my mechanic fixed the AC in the truck for $200 and since he had no other cars, I took gone the van and that was $300. Basically just recharging the systems. Couldn't get him to touch the shift linkage as he knew I needed the van this weekend and he was afraid of breaking the clip. Old school dude, loves to shoot the shit, don't really care about the prices as he is a straight shooter and so far doesn't bullshit me. He wants to rebuild the rear drive shaft and replace the carrier bearing next month in the truck, by all accounts it's due.

You should put all that other BS off until he fixes your parking brakes on the van though. I would rank that as most important because putting all the weight of that van on the parking pawl in the transmission is going to get you a transmission repair at some point.

I mean I don't distrust it any more than any other automatic transmission I wouldn't put that much load on any parking pawl because if you've seen what one looks like you could understand why 10,000 pounds on it seems like a bad idea. You're basically sitting the entire weight of the truck on a piece of metal about 3 mm thick and 5mm wide. I wouldn't park Mike's truck on any significant incline without setting the parking brake either.

 

It's built ford tough...

Rarely does it get parked on a hill, I'm not too worried.
