I'm on the schedule at my local dealer service shop. They said they'd probably do that service bulletin to disable the pcs and drcc.
Is there anything else on the automatic braking system that I could get them to disable?

So there’s a service bulletin that disables all the automatic braking and collision detection BS?

I’m curious because the collision warning thing has almost gotten me into multiple accidents while I was using the cruise control.

I'm not too sure what all it covers.
Tsb 0059-18 does, but it's not for the '21 Tocoma. The tsb.0026-20 includes many '21s.

They did say it required a code because of a lift or big tires. The codes were a page full, I'm sure I'd have one or two of them.

Do note that disabling the PCS via the reflash is permanent unless the radar unit is replaced.

On page 2 & 5 it mentions a software I have not heard of yet... GTS+. Could it possibly be the new online replacement for the old Techstream that resided on a computer?

It's Toyota's next generation diagnostic software, I believe it's required for all models 24 and newer but works with all older models as well.

Is it software or online? I heard it was going to be online, to get rid of us poachers.

Idk I haven't used it. I haven't used Techstream for that matter, my scan tools do everything I need to do.

Unplugging the radar yields the same results, just a different warning.

I've unplugged my grill radar and with it goes the "Speed only Cruise Control" too. i.e. with the radar unplugged neither cruise control works.

    Yup.

    added:
I've driven around quite a bit without my grill while installing other things in that area.

You would need to figure out how to keep moisture and crap from getting into the connector though.

Both male and female connectors I found were available, just add plugs to the cavities.
