    Bingo. If you shop ahead and catch deals, you can always be doing premium synthetic oil changes for cheaper than a shop would charge for conventional.

    you don’t have to look for deals
    Walmart rotella T6 is and has been $23 as well as other places

    or become the magical profession of mechanic using leftover oil for free making it $5

    Are you sure there was no oil in the filter? Did you poke at the anti drain back valve flapper through the holes with a pocket screwdriver?

    No, I didn't poke it. There had to be oil flowing through it because there was a light film it it. I just never changed an oil filter and not have a little oil spill out when I removed it.

    The 2TR-FE is pretty dang easy bro. You don't even have to jack it off the ground!

    Cannot reach the oil filter on the shoulder on the ground, no clearance, it's upside down high up there!

    when I change... first i put a couple holes in the top of the filter with an electrician splicing knife, and then crawl under and pull the drain plug. by the time the under is done i screw off the filter and all the oils is always drained out of it, so no spill no mess.
