My son knows someone his age that was killed just a few years ago when the truck flipped and crushed his melon. Just a week before that he had said it was OK and nothing would happen.

I know the big Rausch Creek event is the end of July, 7/27&28, but I’ll be there with a buddy on 7/20, in case anyone else is going or wants to meet up.

 

Id be game if I wasn't worried about slowing everyone down to get pulled out every mile

 

I was at AOAA a few years ago with some with a sport and oem tires. I don’t remember him getting stuck lol. I have no idea what their experience level and slightly concerned what they might try.

I can’t be sure what trials we’ll be hitting. You might be able to join the group on 7/27 and do greens only and know there are people with more experience.

 

Feel likey KO2s will be fine, more about it being RWD without lockers (yet)

Good afternoon everyone. I just got home from the Crazy Rays/LKQ in Mt Airy- there's a '09 Taco AC 4x4 that hasn't been picked apart yet, for anyone needing stuff for their 2nd gen.

 

Well I saw my first new Land Cruiser in person today; It drove past us on the highway. My wife was on the phone with someone at the time… I started yelling and pointing, she got confused, it was a whole big thing.



I am sad to report that it did not look great. It was white and looked like it was probably the base model. Although I didn’t get a great look at it, I was not impressed. It almost looked like one of those small transit vans or whatever they’re called.

I think we may be shifting our focus to the new 4Runner when it comes out.

 

The GX looks significantly nicer. The Land Cruiser I saw was a lower end model in the $50k’s, and it looked like a $35k vehicle. I was disappointed as well.

It’s a bit more coin, but go look at the GX. If I was in the market and willing to spend $70k, ughhh that is so much money.

Yeah there’s no chance we’re spending anywhere near $70K lol, I do really love the GX’s but they have always been out of our price range.

I totally agree that the LC looked like a cheap(er) vehicle.
