My rate dropped a few hundred when I traded my '06 Tundra for my '19 Tacoma. OTOH, when we traded in my wife's '07 Highlander for her '20 RAV4, the rate went up a few hundred.

My auto insurance went up 25% this past year. I used to be under $1,000 per vehicle and that's no longer the case.

What's more annoying is my insurance previously reported the breakdown per line item and then did the SDIP credit off that total to get the premium. This renewal they have the line item by line item which apparently includes the SDIP discount already, which seems quite dumb.

If / When I get the STI I'll have to be back on a standard policy which I'm sure will be $Texas. The Vette was on a Hagerty agreed value policy for $20,000 for $650/year. That was really nice. I'm sure the STI will be like $2,000 or something silly. I think I paid almost $1,400 for it back in 2007.

    2014 Rav4 $700

Both of us are the best driver rating. No other drivers in our house.

Yeah pretty annoying it doesn't just show the discount amount.

We just changed from Mapfre to Safety for a better deal last year, never had any issues with Mapfre though.

Would you look at that - beer o'clock already.

GF bought a century house and before we get comfortable I'm knocking down some interior work.

Two of the bedrooms had some really badly installed, very worn out cheap carpet in 'em. Happy surprise, the subfloor is (not original) board, so I'm sanding it all down, making it foot-friendly, and staining/poly. It will be better than it was and ready to drop in solid wood floors in a year or two when we have the home improvement bandwidth to do so.

I'll post up project pics when it's done, which ought to be in the next three or four days. Once the floors are done, it'll be time to wire up the shop and move all my machines, lumber, cabinets, chemicals, paint, tools, junk, Toyota parts, junk Toyota parts, and Wheel Mountain.

The shop space is amazing. Very stoked about the machine pedestal, and there's a trapdoor in the loft floor to pass lumber through.

I think this RFP was probably a smokescreen to be able to show the public "See! We're trying!"

I’m sure it was, but that message was sent loud and clear, that state is too corrupt, the budget was not reasonable (not even close to get no bids) and the schedule was too stupid short for anyone to even think about taking the risk. Just reeks of irresponsibility and incompetence.

If I get new wheels, I should get -12 offset instead of 0? I think the OR is -25mm but if i skinnies do I want to compensate for the loss of width?

    wildpeaks either 265/70R17 or 255/80R17

I'm running pizza cutters (Cooper Discoverer AT/LT 235/85/16) on my summer wheels and am very pleased with the offset on the FJ alloys, and Blizzaks @ 245x70R17 on my winters (the 17" FJ alloys). They're pushed out right back to just about the factory track width.

I run 0 with spacers, -12 is the ideal offset for bigger tires which future-proofs you there but you can also always add it with a spacer should you need more width

Maybe the companies are hoping to get in on the big rebuild on the Maryland bridge..

Stock or offset is like +23 or +25. The more negative the wider the track width.
I have this setup except for 8.5 wide and I think it’s the perfect offset stock height trucks. If you want to toss them on to see if it’s what you want you are welcome to.
