don't know what's cooler than hangliding. Very nice Wolf.

got this job done yesterday....New lights look much better. Make take a swing at the old ones now that they're out, before simply tossing them.

Mmmm I changed mine last year and never took anything off except for the filler piece under the assembly.

    Mmmmmmmmm

100° heat index and a lawn mower don’t mix very well.
    At least it’s done…

Got home yesterday after a last minute decision (last weekend) to take the week off. I filed the proper request form with my boss. :D. It was immediately approved. I wanted to fish some ponds that have the infamous "Hex Hatch". The giant mayflies generally hatch at night over the course of a night or two around the 4th of July. It's the last chance for the brook trout to catch a big meal before they hit the deep spring holes for a break for the remainder of the summer. It brings up the big boys for that final summer meal. The flies are nicknamed "cheeseburgers" for a reason. I fished several ponds during the evening, but didn't catch a hatch. It's like that more often than not. Many roads still washed out from the storms last fall. I crossed a couple that I probably should't have attempted alone, but the mostly stock Green Bean handled it fine, even with tires in need of replacement. Cooper Tires!! Always fun to be "UP NORTH". I was expecting crowds as there are numerous maintained primitive campsites in the area, but to my surprise and pleasure, I was the only one up in the area. Tried out a new Canvas Teepee Tent. Was too small for my cot.

    Morning
    A nutter hot one today…
    Hotter tomorrow.
Going fishing tomorrow early am and getting off the water early. 6 to 9 am.
Going to use my new fly rod for a bit but I’m sure it is going to be not a great outing with it.
I need to get some weight forward leader so I’ll just see if I can load the rod tip
to get it out enough so I won’t embarrass myself..
    Have fun today…

Pro Tip - If you're using streamer type flies, use a short (4') leader of straight 15lb mono as a leader. You could even tie on a small barrell swivel so changing flies is easy. That'll help turn over those flies. If you're using floating poppers, etc, use a longer (8') section of straight 8lb mono as a leader.

I just found a deal on weight forward line.
I’m using 6 lb leader right now on a streamer. Sinks real slow and I can dance it under the water.

Shortening it 6” at a time. Just about have it but I wanna match leader weight to the rod on this one.
I don’t have to duck anymore. Lol
