It's definitely a game changer at the beach. We love it.

Thanks. The paint really looks better now, plus knowing its protected for awhile feels good. Got the glass too, might help with driving in the rains here.
May try it again when the heat index isnt 107, probably in our cooler season of the tropics.

Well, I did it - had Paul from OTT tune my truck. Paul was an absolute great/nice guy who put this old nervous guy at ease. The location for the work was 125 miles from my house. We live in a very rural area, but had freeway for the most part and one mountain pass between tune location and home, so not a total test, but a good test none the less. I am extremely pleased so far: gear hunting is mostly gone, gas pedal responds as one would think it should, and my mpg is at least the same, if not slightly better. It was really an enjoyable ride home.

Paul was such a nice and patient guy - really good experience

I was invited by Amazon for writing helpful reviews. So mostly luck with an algorithm I think - it’s called Vine. The downside is it’s only what’s on offer (mostly new/ unknown brands), still taxable and you can’t return anything so if you get a crap product you’re still paying something for it. We get mostly complicated puzzles since my wife does one a week.

You can also get little steps that hook into the door latch. Works great for the roof but would not work for the topper. You’re solution is the best.

If you decide to spend some money to get a dedicated ladder to carry in the truck either of these are great step ladders.
The little giant is great for quick stuff because you can use both sides and the top step is double wide. But if you are working on your roof the Werner platform is the best.

Finally had one of those bad experiences at the dealership... took in my truck for an oil change and tire rotation prior to our trip moving out of state. A couple hours after dropping it off I get a call from the technician, claiming my battery was bad (strange, since it's had zero problems, zero hesitation starting, zero lights dimming, etc...) I decline having them replace it and head in to pick it up. Now we're dropping off my wife's 4runner to get hers serviced, I go to start my truck and switch the kids over, no start, no crack, just clicking... the battery was so dead I couldn't even jump it with my jump pack. Of course I'm pissed, somehow in the course of a couple hours my truck goes from starting just fine to not even turning over. After a few conversations with their manager, I ended up getting a heavily discounted battery installed. Now I know my battery was getting older, and it's been incredibly hot lately, but the coincidence of it going from starting just fine to not even trying just didn't sit well. I guess on the bright side I have a new battery for the move :notsure:

Nice job keepin your head, and the discount. Im convinced, this is how they keep their lights on. 5 year old vehicle must be a standard for the laundrylist of "concerns/issues/recommendations" during visit. They scare the crap out of women, watched it happen with my own family.
Im done with em after the promotional care ends, hopefully dont have to go back for warranty work either.
