sorry i’m late but happy belated Ed!

 

funny story about that. so i live about five miles from my work (summit airport) and it’s just south of the canal. the TFR for the new castle area when biden flies into wilmington goes just up to the canal,
anything close to it they radio to get away, and if they don’t, or get too close, they scramble after them. i heard this deep roar in the sky while i was shopping at walmart, and when i was done i stepped outside and there was an f16 loaded with missiles circling the sky for a few hours. come to find out there was a piper cub that didn’t have radios and didn’t know there was a TFR that day, and they scrambled after him, but they couldn’t contact him. the plane was too slow for the jet so they had to call in a coast guard dolphine helicopter to fly next to him to get his attention. when he landed at summit the secret service was waiting for him and took him into custody. he’s very lucky because he could have lost his pilots license or even been arrested

 

I can’t say I heard about that one. Since 2020 I’ve done about 25-30 events talking about TFRs to try and get pilots to stop flying through it.

on other topics, how’s the lift? Mess with the dials yet? I don’t think I’ll be moving on from the Ironman lift. With the new tires, it doesn’t feel as still and is more comfortable, or at least it feels like it. I want gears and new front bumper, either of the BAMF ones would work nicely.

Hey Eric,

How went the day?

We are off on Thursday but coming in on Friday.

 

It went well, how about yours?

I’m taking off Friday, going to pick up my nephew for him and my son to get a chance to hang out. Brother moved about 1.45hrs away.

 

IT problems this morning...our printer functions for shipping documents is somehow disconnected.

Plus, I finished our monthly inventory which is due every 5th of the month.

Stayed late because my induction area was getting backed up!

Back at it again tomorrow...then taking a break on Thursday.

We don't set off fireworks nor do we go anywhere to view them...our poor cats get freaked out.

Fireworks weren't too loud last night and didn't go into the late hours of 11pm.

At work today...hopefully, for only half a day.

Staying indoors for the most part...stay hydrated everyone.

 

Im hoping the kids are not going to want to go to the pool… it’s even to hot for that!

 

I would love to goto the beach...Indian River is my fave.

I'd be going alone because no one wants to go with me...since I would plan on leaving at 7am to be sitting in front of the waves by 8:30am.

Then, I'd go to DeweyBeachBeerCo for lunch and pick up some beers...I'd be home after 2pm and not leave much time to spend with family.

Sooooo, indoors is the place for me right now...maybe a bike ride around the neighborhood...but there's a heat warning.

 

Tomorrow we’re taking my kid and nephew to the big bounce America thing at Kirkwood park in New Castle. It’s gonna be way to hot lol

 

Change of plans/Add Plans:

Youngest daughter wants to goto the beach...eldest agrees...as does SIL.

Instead of Lewes Beach, we are headed to Dewey Beach.

Youngest daughter loved the beach day on my birthday...which was at Dewey, so we are headed to Dewey early!

if you go to the end of old summit bridge road on the south side of the canal, across the street from summit aviation, you just drive all the way to the end of the street and drive on down!
