I still feel sea sick this morning. My stomach feels like it's in a washing machine.

Does anyone have a rivet nut tool they would be willing to let me borrow? I want to replace the rivets holding the filler neck to the bed with rivet nuts.
Probably 1/4" size. I'll have to purchase the rivet nuts, but that is what I would like to do. Never worked with one before but have watched a few videos and it looks straight forward.
willing to pick up or meet. Located Lower bucks near Oxford Valley mall. ( or what's left of it )

Mine is holding its own. House is well insulated and wood frame . It had no insulation so back before we sided we blew in insulation , then that thin foldable foam board then dupont house wrap then siding. Plus I think I went up a size on the AC. My AC comes on for apx 10 or 15 min then off apx 30 45 min? We have it set at 73. I will say it's 79 in the upstairs bedroom, on hot days we will turn down to 72 for the night plus ceiling fan. But ac is R22, 18 year old system with new compressor apx 8 yrs ago.

My house sits back against the woods on the north side of a hill, last year ran a 5000 btu unit to cool the whole house. My puppy may have ate the cord of that so I upgraded to an 8k. I could probably use another unit in the kitchen but it only gets up to about 74 out there which is still fine for me.

The only place that has to be cold is where I sleep.

My house was built in '65 and while they topped off the attic insulation the wall insulation is lacking I imagine. They did retrofit double hung windows several years ago, but they're due for replacement again.

Mine 1910, balloon framing, kind of easy to blow in. Many holes. Wonder if that blow in foam insulation is worth it. They say u get exceptional R value . But how would you fish walls if u added an outlet ?

I've actually added an additional two 20amp circuits for two of the bedrooms just for window AC units for when mine finally does shit the bed. Since my house was built in '65 there was a lack of circuits so I was planning ahead. My central unit is rusted out on the unit in the attic so I know it's a matter of time. Definitely not wanting that $10K bill o_O

I've got 6 window units from the old house stored in the shed. I knew better in throwing them away

I think he's more of a central AC guy. I guess I'll save the old Coleman (York) brand stuff for him

Got a new full-time job now, so I’m not desperate for scrap, but I will never say no to free HVAC scrap! I don’t care if it’s central A/C or window when it comes to scrap, though central is obviously more profitable. A complete central A/C system of 3-tons or more is worth anywhere from $100 to more than $200! Heat pumps are worth a bit more, because they have more copper due to having a reversing valve. Windows A/Cs are generally $20-$30 each depending on size and a couple of other factors. This is obviously after the unit has been chopped up and categorized by materials. Copper, condenser radiators, and compressors are generally the most valuable bits. Trane and American Standard outdoor units aren’t worth as much due to using a distinctive aluminum condenser coil, and aluminum is never as valuable per pound as copper is…

The transmission in my truck is on its way out, but the A/C works great! Luckily, I’m not driving more than ten miles from home for the next week, I have AAA if I need to have the truck towed, and I’m getting the transmission replaced with a low-mileage used one in about a week…

Job with GF; I’m going to keep this job until at least the end of the year while I research ways to get my foot in the door in HVAC industry without paying a fortune for training. If I get my job back at the place I was laid off from, I will put in my two weeks notice and go back there…
