I'll have too look into this to see if that gun can shoot siding nails. TY.

 

I've got a really nice (I.E. expensive) Bostitch siding nailer that I probably couldn't sell for enough to justify the Milwaukee nailer. Even dragging around the 150' air hose isn't troublesome since discovering Flexzilla polymer hose.

FYI - I have job this fall where I need to replace a fair amount of cedar clapboards and cedar shakes up on some dormers. It's all ladder work. Was looking for alternatives to manual hammer and SS siding nails to speed things up.

I'm all cordless now and no longer have a compressor. I'm not building houses, doing big jobs, etc. so cordless works for my needs.

 

It doesn’t. It’s a roofing nailer.

it has the attachment to do vinyl siding. It doesn’t shoot siding nails.

 

Tested out the m12 tire buffer yesterday to patch a wrangler duratrac, the tool works very nice. It would be great if milwaukee made some 7/16 hex shank arbors to hold burrs to go along with the tool, having to make my own was less than ideal.

 

Anyone have experience with this M12 transfer pump?

i would suggest a drill operated pump, more like this: hot tubs are a ton of water, having alternate options other than an obscene stack of m12 batteries is always better.

ideally, a pump like this works better, as it still can use a garden hose output, but runs on 120v so it can run almost indefinitely. but it's $100.

the m12 would work, but is really intended for remote operations where main power isn't available. a hot tub is going to have power nearby, so the battery options are really sort of 'extra'.

 

Soooo I used to sell a good bit of the Paslode battery/gas tools. They're great if you don't let them sit. It will gum up and be rendered useless if it sits. I've torn many apart and cleaned them.

Even though you're gonna be going up and down a ladder I'd recommend an air powered tool. Chances are it'll still work after sitting around.

I have a utility pump like that. I then use a shop vac to clean up the seat wells and the low spots the drain doesn’t let out. We’re only talking a couple gallons

 

This is what I like about my Bostitch. I oil it (air tool oil) before every use and it only seems to run better over time. When I used it last year to repair my picket fence it had sat for probably 5 years. Loaded the nails, ran some oil through it and no problems.

 

I've had one air tool failure over the years. I had a 16ga strait nailer that my grandfather had for years and I assume never oiled it. The plastic piston seal thing crumbled apart one day. I just bought a Harbor Freight replacement as I'm useless hand nailing things

 

They make adapters to use Ryobi with Milwaukee Batteries

what do you guys think of the Milwaukee 1/2" High Torque impact guns??

 

Awesome power but is to large for some high torque small place usage. Think removing a stuck crankshaft bolt with the radiator in place.
