Because they are a business trying to make money. If you want to spend the time to piece together all you need have at it. But I’ll tell you this. Good luck finding that top misalignment that the bolt head sits on. I’ve yet to find a place that has that piece in stock at any store that sells misalignments.

Look, I like supporting JD fab, hence why I had them set me up with both their front and rear kits. But the uniballs are a wearable, sourced part that they don’t have any RnD in. It’s the same with the 934 boot kit that JD sells.

I’ll call the shop and ask Jesse if he’ll sell me the misalignments. Otherwise I’ll save up for their replacement kit since it’s a one-stop shop. But for wearable items like this, the quality to value ratio is important. Might save a few bucks. I just got done refreshing my 934s. Did both axles for about $150 vs the $250 for their rebuild kit.

What's the process to remove the EMFs and install uniballs? Do I need some kind of puller and a press?

For folks who got the replacement hardware for their uniballs: there were some instructions in the box and my dumb ass misplaced them, can someone take a picture for me?

You replaced the inner cage and Star on yours? I reused mine, is there a life cycle on those if there’s no obvious scoring?

Everything looked good so nothing was replaced. All I did was some 600,800 and 1,000 grit polish on the wear surfaces. Nothing fancy, just enough to break down the squared edges and reduce the high spots. Im pretty confident that we won't be replacing anything due to abnormal wear and tear with the 934's. We can always upgrade to the polished 300M stuff that we use on our Class1 and Class10 Race Prep if we happen to break the cage, but I very much doubt that will ever happen.

For those following my search for the perfect offset with the secondary shocks on a 2.25 kit: I think it's probably 4" but I'll confirm the next time I can be bothered to fight my heavy ass wheels to do some test fitting. I'm currently running Method 703s in 17x8.5 +0 (~4.75bs) and I printed an ~8.6mm spacer to emulate a 17x9 -12mm (~4.41" bs) wheel and it still rubs pretty bad on the secondary shock bypass tubes. Going from 4.75" to 4.41" fixes the rub on the UCA, though, so there's that.

This is with the ~4.41" bs. The fat lugs on these Baja Boss XS's don't help and neither does the tube layout, not that there's a lot of options for that.

well i figured out why one of my Foxes had no precharge.
got all the fittings in to charge it myself and charged it up to 200 psi....
got a bunch of bubbles at the end of the reservoir.
Called up Jesse and he walked through "disassembly" of the end cap and what do ya know.
some pube from the Fox assembly guy laying across both o-rings.
    Ugh.
cleaned it up and reassembled and no bubbles with shop air pressure.
I'll try a full 200 psi of nitrogen today (tank isn't at home) and cross my fingers this is it for hiccups!
And the rest of the JD kit should be arriving today. hope UPS doesn't run late!

So what's the real world experience of everyone for the best shocks (QC, reliability, durability)? Who's shocks hold up best to the weather? I had done a bunch of research and everything pointed to Fox Factory Series as the most corrosion resistance, and through Accutune I figured the QC would be much higher. I feel like the consensus was Fox was middle of the road price wise, but best overall, while ADS was more expensive and Kings are cheaper and lower quality (cheaper components). Am I really off base here?
