    Damn :(
I hope it turns out ok without being crazy expensive.

Were the cranked up tunes what caused the lug nuts to vibrate off? :anonymous:

Oh shit! Glad it didn't turn into a crash. But, that definitely sucks!

No like for that! Glad to hear you didn't crash. Funny how all of the lugnuts can come off and not give you an indication that the wheel is loose.

Wow. Like others have said, glad you are alright, and glad that you had the driving skills to get pulled over safely.

I once had all the lugnuts come off a wheel of a trailer I was towing with a boat on it. Felt a thud, looked in my mirror and saw sparks flying and the wheel roll into the median ditch. I had been working on the trailer and I believe I neglected to torque down the lug nuts when I put the wheel back on. Not suggesting that was the case with your truck, but did you have anyone else do your last tire rotation or anything thing like that?

If I remember correctly, there's not much room to pull over in Glen Canyon.

I do my own rotations. The lower shock mount is bent or broke. The shop still hasn't looked at at and I've been here over 2 hrs.

You remember correctly. The cop was pissed as we were waiting for a tow truck. I didn't dare open the driver side doors. Way too close to traffic.

    Glad you're alright.
Is renting a flatbed from somewhere like PENSKE a possibility, to get ALF back home?
I have no idea what that would cost but if repairs are crazy......

Got the other fender on today. Needed more fussing. Also installed the factory inners-modified to work of course. Talked with my local paintr guy and he said he could get them done next week... looks like I need to get the doors and hood polished up. Should look nice for Tigerton!

Damn that's crazy stuff, glad you are OK and in one piece more or less. I saw your newer picture on the lift and it doesn't look terrible over the internet but I'm sure we aren't seeing all the carnage, crossing fingers maybe you get lucky and can salvage some fun time. Best of luck on the repairs!!

Turns out it only needed studs and nuts. Boo yaa. I still got raped on the repair, but it beats having ALF meet his demise. $600 for studs and lug nuts, done in less than a day. Hard to believe that was all the damage there was, and didn't affect our schedule at all.
I am right now waiting on the guy from Florida to meet me at the gas station, then off to the trails.

    That's good news....
Having to bring ALF home on a flatbed would've been the ultimate ride of shame. :D
