if anybody has the super Pacific awning, brackets, could you give me the center to center measurements of the mounting holes on the camper side not the awning side? I am wondering if I can use them on a different camper. Thanks

 

My panels being flex and not as efficient as solid panels, I would say that 2x100w should be more than enough. You may be able to get by with 1x150w

 

How precise do you need the measurements? It is barely over 4".

I have 3 x 100 watt flex panels and a 100ah battery. Works great. I rarely worry about depleting the battery. I often pickup camp and drive to a new location before I get to 75% battery. Then the dc-dc charger kicks in and tops off the battery.

My install date is coming up quick on July 11th. I've already got a few mods line up from ASG and I am in the process of sealing up the bed and installing my aluminum bar stock (second gen here). The anticipation is super high after going to the PNW Overland Expo and talking to all the SP owners there.

Who else is getting theirs soon and starting to feel the excitement and going through the prepping stages?

 

Did you get the bar sorted out? At work right now so I can grab more info if needed if those pics I sent didnt help. Its really just center of bar and evenly spaced however you want along the length

 

Yessir! Just installed the bar and filled the gaps with Sika Flex and Nashua tape on top of the Sika Flex and in the process of putting Nashua over the screw heads. I did 5/8" off the stock rail, as it was outlined earlier in the thread. She's solid.

Thanks for all of your input in this thread, it made things really easy.

Now I just gotta seal up the two cubbies in the back and i'll be fully sealed except the drain holes at the front. Still not sure if I want to plug those..

I hope everyone had a wonderful (and safe) July 4th weekend!! I wanted to take a moment to fire a note out to the community to let everyone know that ASG Offroad has the HardKorr panels with remotes back in stock!! On top of this we have a couple of new additions as well!!!

Now, the second amazing update is in the vein of ASG Offroad going METAL!!! If you’re looking to attach things like kayaks, storage boxes, fuel packs, solar panels (and the list goes on and on), to the roof of your X1… take a gander at the X1 Monkey Bars (my son loves being able to name our products!! hahaha). These things are stout for sure and will stand up to just about anything thrown at them!

I ran 100 Watt renogy rigid panel for awhile then bumped it up to 2 renogy rigid panels and it was great. Id say you want at least one 180 i think they make or 2 100 watt panels minimum. I switched to 2 110 flexible and felt the rigid was ran better. I since went big and purchase a 360 watt merlin panel but have not given it a spin as I'm redoing everything. Was running Victron mppt and RedArc dc/dc

I always used victron mppt controllers in the past and loved it. I will be going all red arc on the next revision. But since you are always on that train the victron dc/dc and victron mppt is a no brainer. Pair it with their shunt and your in business.

ahhh I need to dig in and find that info again. I have yet to do this but am planning on pulling the camper to redo a ton of stuff soon. For anyone that has not done this with a 2nd gen this hands down it the #1 thing missing from the X1 setup.

Yeah. I just used a couple sqaures of the Nashua marine tape. Easy enough to just peel off if need be.

Tomorrow is the day! And i'm feelin pretty dang good about it. All the prep is done and i've started collecting materials for my bed build out. Gonna do 8020 1" frame with 1/8" ACM panels to do a cabinet build for storage/a place to sit and to house the power station.

Still lots to do. The road goes on forever and the projects never end!

Those are the rods that came with your kit? Mine came with straight rods and those look like they are way better at keeping tension on the awning.

 

Yeah, must have been a redesign. @A_Baum92881 can confirm.

 

@lupercal - You're correct...I had to slightly redesign as the former tent poles have been nearly impossible to find (without breaking the bank). @WaitingOnMyR1T - I did some testing of both (I have the same style poles you have on my truck) and I'm sure my method of testing (pushing the tent material with my hand) isn't the most scientific but it feels similar.

 

Does anyone have the Gate Keeper locks? How do you like them? Can you still manually unlock from the inside or is it only via remote?
