Also. FWIW, I use ARP lube on all heims and jams. It is far, far superior to antiseize.

It's just my paranoia. I've never had a jam nut cume loose on me, but because I've heard of it happening to someone else, I worry about it. If little easy steps can give me piece of mind, I'll take it.

Set screw is that thing. Especially on monster 1 1/4 heims. I wouldn’t do it on smaller stuff but you’re not going to harm the integrity of them big bastards. I want to say we used #8 or #10.

If you have a drill press and a vice it’s quick and easy. Just don’t poke the threads on the other side when you go through. Set a stop.

That's why I liked the idea. Effective, but also, drilling and tapping 8 set screw holes is a piece of cake.

Nice work, very cool innovation! How much travel are you cycling with the Frankenstein setup?

I'm running the same size links/heims, and have only ever used a pipe wrench with a cheater bar to torque the jams, maybe 24" total length, and never had an issue with them coming loose. I use torque seal for a quick visual check, though I do like the idea of set screws, may have to steal that idea.

I'm at 13" due to the 37s. Definitely more to be gained if I cut more and mounted the coilover up higher.

Nice! I saw in your build you don't have the diff in yet, what are you using to keep the hubs together?

Unfortunately, I decided to hold off on the front diff. The fitup was tight with contact at the crossmember as well as the steering rack. A project I didn't want to take on at the moment. All factory tundra outer components with a custom set of RCVs mated to the 8" diff, so it just uses the tundra cv axle nut to hold everything together.

New Holley dash just arrived. Shiny.

Should I get some rife shock travel sensors just for shits and giggles?

I made a bunch of posts recently trying to figure it out, but found one that will clear: https://www.tacomaworld.com/threads...it-honest-review.777426/page-13#post-29923841

In other pics you can see I'm using the "tall" spring perch when I could really be using the lower one (not flat). https://www.polyperformance.com/krs...nce-race-pr-series-spring-plate-for-7-8-shaft

But that's just for this setup. The JD Fab kit can use the short/stubby ends and be fine... so it depends.

    Which LT are you using?
