    Howdy Y'all!

2015 DCSB pre runner with 105k Miles, I've had it for a year and put less than 2k miles on it (I work from home). I will be driving it more considering I have a rtt and we have gotten into overloading.

I have an MT64 OME lift on the way, super excited to install.

Question though, while I am in there what should I give some attention to? Are there things I should service or replace?

Not looking to add extra days to the install, I have me and two buddies doing this in a garage when the front assemblies arrive.

Good luck have fun and be safe. I just finished my install a month ago with a buddy! So rewarding and so fun but definitely a hard fought 2 days.

PB blaster in advance, like daily starting a few days before you start disassembly. I regret not doing this.

considering you don’t have a front diff, I don’t think you’ll have any need for the ECGS bushing, I opted to pass on this until it becomes an issue regardless.

I bought my front coilovers disassembled, but I had them assembled locally prior to install for $75. Highly recommend. Speaking of which, new top hats for the front coilovers-highly recommended.

you may also want to considering replacing the tie rod ends. Mine needed replacing after install to maintain alignment, per the alignment shop. Seemed reasonable.

ultimately you have the job at hand, just focus on doing that !

I do have the front coilers being assembled by the company I bought them from with new tophats so I don't have to worry about that. The PB Blaster is a good idea. I'll get some today and start applying.

Good thinking on the tie rod ends.

    Thanks for the info!

The upper and lower control arms, along with the lower shock bolts need to be tightened with the wheels on the ground.

Check the LCA camber/caster bolts to make sure they are not seized. Mine were and I had to cut out the old bolts to replace the LCAs and bolts.

Yes I should mention we did A LOT of cutting. 4-5 bolts. I think 3 were related to the sway bar anyways, which is now discarded.

sway bar end links were shot. If you’re maintaining the sway bar would definitely look at replacing all of the components related to that.

also, the passenger side 14mm nut atop the shock tower on the passenger side was a SOB! In its defense we skipped straight over a nut extractor and went for cutting. Ended up freeing it via a multi tool from the engine bay after much trial and error!

No other weight as of yet. Based on reviews I went with the heavy Dakar pack, as my rack and rtt and water assembly weigh in around 400. November comes around and I will likely have high clearance front and rear bumpers as well as some skids and rock sliders.
Ill write it up when I have them on for a bit.

Did you have any excessive rust or anything like that?

You could probably call it extensive. I think some of the hardware had seized over from rust. Truck was originally from New Hampshire (frame is spotless now from prior to my ownership from recall). And all of the suspension was stock. We used the torch plenty and it felt, very welcome, to refresh everything.

come to think of it. I replaced brake calipers just last year from rust/seized piston. If that is any indication.

Gusset cam lock tabs and spindles.
    They both bend.
    Good luck with your truck.

Yes, the tabs bend. I have Marlin Crawler HD brace kit. Zoom in for a better view.

I also have some control arms for sale if you need them.
