Looking for some good options for new leaf packs for my second gen DCSB. So, my truck had the TSB leafs on it, and I added a 1.5" AAL and kept the overload leaf in. Fast forward 2 years, and we are flat again, possibly starting to negative arch under minor loads. I'm starting to get that wallowing feeling again in the rear suspension. So I'm looking for some ideas / suggestions for some replacements that will suit my needs.

    • Not looking to go more than a 2"-2.5" max. lift in the rear, i have the front setup for slight rake on 5100s.
    • I have minimal gear in the bed of the truck at all times, as well as a LEER cap.
    • I tow a small camper several times a year, so keeping the payload / towing capability is a must.
Now, this is an 18 year old truck. So I don't want to go too crazy with upgrades, but I'm open to any solutions to fit my needs. Thanks!

Can you measure from the center of the wheel up to the edge of the fender? That will show what lift height you're sitting at.

Tacoma leaves don't have a lot of arch to them when installed due to the mounting positions and upside down shackle, so visually looking at even new trucks, they are fairly flat.

This full leaf pack would be what you'd need to replace it all and have the hub to fender measure 24-24.5" (2-2.5" of lift).

Interesting, i didnt realize that even new they were fairly flat. And thats not really a bad price at all for a pair of leafs, i will measure and report back!

So, just remembered to get some measurements. This should be pretty close, but i was doing it myself. So there is some room for error here.

    Passenger front: 20.5 inches
    Passenger rear: 22.75 inches
    Driver front: 20 inches
    Driver rear: 22.25 inches

OK, you're right, your AAL haven't held up. Stock height is usually 20" up front and 22" in the rear, so you've squatted down most of the rear AAL that you put in. If you add the leaf packs I suggested before, you'll probably want to add some height to the front as well, or it will be raked out pretty bad.

probably the mileage and age of the springs. I never measured before or after, but after the recent camping trip i really noticed they didnt seem to be holding up at all anymore.
