Decided to swap in an FJ T case into my auto transmission 3rd gen Tacoma yesterday. Went smoother than expected. I could only find a write up for a manual trans 3rd gen, so I figured I’d post my video to help those with an auto trans. It’s actually easier than the manual swap. I will also be deleting the ADD with the axle tube and shaft from a manual trans FJ this week. This is geared toward those with the TRD sport trim or lower, I don’t cover wiring to retain the factory locker or crawl control that OR/PRO’s have.
My dash is already lit up like a Christmas tree so I didn’t care to try to trick the system just for some lights. Obviously there are different ways to fit everything, I’m not claiming this is the best, but probably the simplest.

Hey man I watched ur vid, awesome job. I’m about to pull the trigger myself but I just want to know if your abs / traction control still works. I don’t care too much about dash lights and stuff I just wanna make sure those work at least.

Whats the purpose or benefits of this? Is it just to get rid of the electronic actuator?

Did you ever find any information on wiring needed for TRD offroad/pro guys? I just watched your YouTube vids and they are very informative but I’m wanting to keep the MTS and Crawl control if I jump into this project
