    Good

    Just saving you the trouble

It would get gunked up like crazy, and the internal housing's plastic is stupid cheap that it would bind up and crack just opening it up to replenish the beads

Replaced mine after less than a year of total use, and that's in an insulated garage

Dude, just about a year ago they added one going through 156 from Los Banos to Hollister

It's that long stretch after going over Pacheco Pass where normally you get a light every 5 miles or so

It was a big WTF, and it's a two-lane roundabout so some people lose their shit

I've made the mistake of buying a female end when I needed a male end or vice versa, or like you, just buy an extra one or two when I thought I needed more lol

    Super handy!

Quick disconnects for all the things

I totally understand how they are more efficient and all for keeping traffic moving, but when they spring one up randomly in a place you least expect with a population of bad/impatient drivers, the end result is usually the opposite of efficiency

It's like those rotating automatic doors that confuse the hell out of some people lol

@Speedytech7 wouldn’t misfires on 2, 4, 6 only be a result of either a head gasket or jumped timing on the drivers side cam? I don’t have knock or O2 sensor codes, and the coil packs and wires look fine. Even if they were bad, wouldn’t the misfire be on both sides anyway? It seems extremely unlikely that three plugs would go bad at the same time..

Did....you do anything that was suggested to you yesterday or are you wanting to skip troubleshooting?

You'd know if you had a bad headgasket

I inspected the wires and coil packs and I didn’t see anything broken or out of the ordinary

I haven’t done a compression test or anything like that yet. I’ll try to rent a lot from Autozone to hopefully rule out a head/valve issue.

But I researched every thread of misfires on only one bank of an engine, and they all ended up being either jumped timing or a bad O2/knock sensor.

    Correct on your reading

I only suggested switching something like swapping a coil pack, because like Ryan said, maybe you had the case of bad luck and something else just gave up the ghost during all this

Your truck is old, stuff will happen

Weird to think it'd be a bad o2 or knock sensor without any codes though, even stored codes? A code can be stored and display no CEL so not sure if you looked that up

But again the initial suggestion was because it takes like 10 minutes to check, and is completely free to do

Yea I don’t have any sensor codes, so that’s what pointed me towards head gasket or jumped timing. But a bad head gasket causing three misfires in a row would probably be catastrophic - like you said, I’d know. If it was just a slight leak, it’d probably just affect one or maybe two cylinders. I can switch around coils later just for the hell of it, but I’m trying to think about it logically before I load up the parts cannon.
