Just got back from an hour ride on the KLX. Steering feels perfect again. Also did some clutch up second gear wheelie practice (of course on empty back roads) I have the rpm and clutch release down pretty good. Now to get more comfortable with the front wheel being high and covering the rear brake so I can ride it longer. Did a couple 100’ ers and hit close to 12oclock with out panicking just tapping the rear brake too much and came down. I bet no one could imagine it’s a 56 year old dude riding like that. :D I don’t always ride that that but when I do I have so much fun. I need to find a nice more secluded place to practice. Back roads are ok but you just never really know. I wait for nice straights and if a car is coming at me I don’t do it, always wait until they pass. Oh and no one behind either. :p

Kid I sold my CB750 to has it listed again on FB for $2000 more than I sold it to him. And definitely didn't do any of the work that's listed in the description, and uses my photos for the majority of the ad.

    Ugh, that's annoying. upload_2024-7-12_20-44-51.png

Everything on there is at LEAST seven years old.

Yeah, I had the bottom end apart to replace a few seals, didn't do fuck all else haha no pistons/rings/valves/head gaskets, nada. Only true parts of that description is that it would always start and it was pretty ready to ride.

You can attach it like this:

    20240711_184627.png

And use their snow bike kit so you can adjust the chains easier than the adventure bike kit I run.

    https://www.bikebinderz.com/collect.../bike-binderz-safety-lock?variant=27846179337
    https://www.bikebinderz.com/collect...ke-dirt-bike-kit-black?variant=39620916772953

Yeah your rack and ride basically works off the same concept the bike binderz do, the rack and ride is an awesome out of the box setup. Just too heavy for what my Bronco can handle and I already had the BB for the tacoma so I adjusted the rack to be able to use them. As much as I love the bronco it's tow capacity/tongue capacity is shit. 3500lb/350lb.

Yeah that's not the greatest. That's the factory tow package?

That's the same rating my golf has with its aftermarket hitch. Waiting on a new main revert. The rack that has a 8" rise to try....lol. might regert.

Pull off the drop ramp and use a 2x6 or 2x10 to load the bike.
    https://www.amazon.com/MaxxHaul-80439-Aluminum-Ramp-Top/dp/B01MQVYNTS?sr=8-2

I had to cut one ramp hinge off with an angle grinder because they were the type that didn't face the same direction for easy ramp removal. It was a must-do when towing with my honda acccord. Afterwards it was a much better tow...

Aluminum decking is also heavier from info I could find when compared to wood. That's one reason I didn't do it this last refresh.

Regular 3/4 plywood lasted 8 years so I think deck board should last plenty of time.

A metal deck will probably be easier to fold but I found the folding took some effort. More than it was worth to me.

I like that setup, it appears that it doesn't have to compress the suspension down much when it locks in and it's fast to load. I'll check out those bike binderz, thanks.

The drop ramp has been too handy to cut off, so far I have rolled an 400# log smoker, 2 gun safes, zero turn mower, a few 800# bikes and a couple ATV's up it. I'd rather just pick up a second lighter weight trailer and switch plates between them. Last time I just rented a U-Haul trailer and it was something like $17 a day. The Tacoma still stayed in lower gears once the bike was on it.

When I get a little more serious, I will explore a little more. I spent a lifetime in the welding biz, I may just make a trailer. Being retired, I got a little time on my hands. LOL

Did a couple rides today. First off I installed the 47 t rear sprocket in place of the 45. I like it so much better. So gearing down 1 in front 2 up in the rear from stock. Acceleration is crazy, clutch up 2nd it a breeze.

Then went out with the wife she on her scooter and I rode the KLX. Pretty tame ride. Now we are at sushi!!! My favorite!!

Tomorrow I have a golf game with my old boss. I am nervous just because I have never played with him and he goes all the time. Just don’t want to embarrass myself.

I made mine removable, which involved cutting off one of the hard hinge points on the trailer frame and then welding it back on. Using the ramp is now optional and I don't have to move two trailers around every time I need to mow...

It’s called Kai sushi on Colby in Everett. My wife said they got #96 out of 100 sushi restaurants in the USA for best sushi.

Bumped the panniers once or twice but it’s worth it. No service but I brought my starlink mini to play with so I can do important stuff like post on TW.
