I've always in the back of my head coming up with a 2uz/6mt/tc1/fjtc combo for DP.
The 2uz would need a roots supercharger as well, you know, just to be sure.

I found that to the the same on the Tacoma rear disc conversion. You get can get it to hold but then the wheel drag or in general is too much. As noted all the setups are just too small. I may still toss on the e brake setup and see if that plus the 4runner droter e brake I have no works together.

I emailed JD: They won't sell just the shock mount, but they did say they're working on a new shock tower setup.

If he can design and build his own UCA, making those little mounts should be no problem. they are 3 plates welded together, very simple.

It certainly is haha. The fender is a little mangled up due to my rough body work. I wanted to see how I liked the OEM fenders cut before I bought a new fender.

So you’re using a ford raptor shaft on your RCVs? Is it a factory length raptor shaft?

How much taller is the tundra knuckle than the tacoma?

Yep, raptor shaft for the RCVs. The invoice says raptor +3.

When I measured factory to factory, from what I remember it was around an inch difference in length. I would have to go back and check my notes. After cutting it down, pivot to pivot was the same. When I drew it up, that worked the best for what I wanted

Also, I want to mention that the KPI was different between the two.

What is KPI? So after you cut down the raptor cv shaft, it was the same length as your original long travel tacoma shafts?

KPI is King pin inclination. If you draw a line between the two pivots at which the knuckle rotates, it's the angle between vertical and that line.

No, the raptor shaft was the correct length for my application, so cutting was necessary. The tundra knuckles added width. The tacoma shafts were too short.

Measurements I got from a buddy are 18-1/8 from top to the bolt surface on the bottom of tundra spindle. The lbj u bolt thing is about 1-9/16 tall.

like 1-5/8 different from first gen tacoma idk about second.

is KPI more vertical on tacoma or tundra?
and any chance you got an angle measurement on tundra?

I checked my notes and it was about a 1.5" difference in height.

As far as the KPI (with the camburg lower uniball on both) the tundra was 12.5 deg and the tacoma was 17.3 deg. Of course without having a model, this is a little rough. I was quite surprised by the tacoma number. The steering feel is noticeably different than before. I don't achieve as much lift on the front end when steering at a standstill. It was quite accessive.
