Oh there will be some mods all right
Well, the Ryobi fans I mentioned a handful of posts back were great. Going forward they will be accompanying me to all warm weather races/events. We used them on high with a 4.0 battery all day long and they only dropped one bar. Made sitting all day in 90 degrees muuuch better.

Same company makes Ryobi and Milwaukee  I promise I won't post Ryobi stuff all the time or anything but as someone who has a sizeable amount of Milwaukee stuff, my opinion is that Milwaukee doesn't offer something for my particular use case and figured I'd share in case someone else needed an affordable, portable, very adjustable, long lasting fan.

Yeah and Ryobi batteries aren't too terribly priced, especially when on sale. I'm properly impressed and am now a Milwaukee and Ryobi dude.

i would highly recommend the harbor freight grinder. my boss has a hard-on for 'buying quality', which means he gives all the welders the higher-end $120 milwaukee 4.5" grinder(i'm not a welder, so i needed to supply my own for "#reasons"). that $40 harbor freight grinder is starting to get passed around the shop when others grinders die, and still can't be killed. everyone that uses it has been impressed, two other guys went out and got the same one after using it for a day. it does better than even the newer metabo's. but nothing compares to an old metabo...

Who do you think maintains said Yacht!!

Between that and the private jet on the Stock Rigs Only thread, it's nearly a full time job.

Yes and I quite like it. I have the M18 smaller fan (they released a bigger shop style fan recently as well) Even though it I didn't want to bring it out onto the hill with me to watch races It still does great. A year or two ago I tested how long it would run on the highest setting with a 6.0 battery and it went for like 5 and 1/2 hours if I remember correctly. Being able to plug it into an outlet is nice as well. It's great for having it blow on you when you are working underneath the vehicle or for drying out something where there isn't an outlet nearby.

    Thanks.
Not saying I need one, but it would be nice in a summer tent.
But, camping, it would require Jackery to recharge, and solar for Jackery.
    I have a M18 12.0 that would work.

i've got the smaller official m18 fan. it's ok. being a brushed motor, it functions, but it sucks batteries like crazy. 1 5.0 battery on #2 speed might last one day if i'm lucky. i also had a major issue with the screws holding the motor unfastening themselves, and had to do a full tear-down and rebuild of it to reinstall them within the first year i had it.

    i honestly stopped using it.

i got this last year, and have been using it most of the summer now at work.
    https://www.amazon.com/dp/B0C85FLBQF?

it lasts almost forever on any battery i connect to it. i've ran it 3-4 days off the antique 4.0 or 5.0 packs that will barely run my drill. in a lot of ways, it actually works better than the official m18 fan. it's quieter, smaller/easier to position, and throws the air further.
