    Morning all:

Hey there MQQSE, good to see you back :fistbump:! You got some catching up to do, any good hunting or fishing stories. :)

I do have a game camera, usually don't put it out until closer to hunting season though, I did grab the small pocket camera, but it was too far away to get a decent pic.

Thank you Carl & Good Morning :hattip:
We went dipnetting Copper River in June caught our desired amount of Reds, but only 1 King. Friday evening got back from Whiskey Gulch catching halibut on Cook Inlet. Caught 3 day limit before the weather rolled up the inlet and closed us out from getting a 4th day's worth. Ended up with close to 200 lbs of fillets.

Hope you are well. Stretch the Impala's legs yet this Summer?

Nice to see you posting. How is Alaska this summer? Hope you caught enough salmon to last the year.

I am with you; I am not that much of a fan when the bones pull out too easily. The results taste great, but I prefer a little more firmness. If you wrap in foil, try wrapping in butcher paper. I usually go by look and feel. When the ribs have that nice mahagony color with pullback and you can get a good bend it is time to wrap. If you use a thermometer that would be close to 170 degrees. Regardless your results look terrific. Doing a rack of ribs today for dinner.

Good morning. Visited my cousin and her husband yesterday. Both are in different facilities. Rich was doing pretty well just not too talkative, his wife on the other hand was a Chatty Cathy. Rich enjoyed the Pepsi and cookie we brought for him. We checked first and were told both were ok to let him have.

This year has driven home the point that life is indeed fragile. Nothing is certain and your health can go south quickly. If you or a family member is battling health issues I wish you a quick recovery.

    Amen!
Good morning Donut makers and porch folk!
Been working from the farm the past week or so.
At the point of needing a tractor, don’t want or have the budget for a newer machine. So after a ton of research on what is available and within my budget. I found this one.
A Massey Ferguson MF35, included almost new box blade. $2,500. According to the serial number, it’s the perfect tractor for this forum. Built in 1962, just like me.

This should work great! Simple to work on. I had a 1940s Allis Chalmers many years ago that wouldn’t die. Sleeves in the cylinders you could easily replace.

Another 8* above average day, then a week of normal temps with slim chance of our normal daily showers. Looking forward to see if weather normality returns!
Kettlebell day! Then garage time assembling solar panel roof rack for my Taco/Super Pacific set up.

Have a great day and make it special!

EDIT: I'm about to lose my carpool partner.

    Morning all:

Just got done with a partial weed whacking, shirt was soaked, now it's getting too hot for comfort and time to pack it in.

Looks like you got a lot for your money there Jim, nice looking tractor!

MQQSE, sounds like you did OK on getting a good supply of fillets, enjoy!
Haven't had the Impala out in a while, just got done putting a different carb on it, I started it and it works, but need to drive it to see if it needs any tweaking.

Hope your cousin and her husband keep improving Tom.

:pccoffee: Good Morning Porch Pals & Sue! Lots of excitement here this morning! Love that tractor! Trying a sports chiropractor this afternoon - can't see anyone else, dentist recommended her, and she does lots of other techniques too. Don't know about my hip/leg, but certainly can help my neck out. We shall see!

I went out this morning and harvested pasture grass seed by hand. I've got a couple of bare spots that I'll overseed on top of the first snow and then again on any late snow in the spring.

It was an interesting experience. I can see how harvesting by hand contributed to domestication and improvement of grain type grasses.

As an owner of a 2017 Avalon, Touring Trim, I can say the car is built well. We have over 80K with no issues other than new tires, oil changes and gas fill ups. The ride is comfortable on long trips, but you might want to consider beefing up the seat padding on the front seats, I did. This was a known problem in 2017 but not sure if it was still an issue in 22. Overall, I would buy the car again. The ride is smooth, and you do not really feel how fast you are going. Took me quite a while to figure out the Radar Cruise Control but once I did it made driving a lot easier.
Sounds like you caught a years' worth of salmon.

Good morning. It was a warm one yesterday and going to be hotter today. Good day to run errands early and stay inside. It is already 77 degrees at 6:30 this morning.
