I looked into getting tickets for his Asheville show on the 2024 tour and it's just too expensive for me these days. I'll certainly enjoy the album though, he's a fantastic musician.

Anyone know why DNR ditched lifetime licenses unless you are over 64? My kid is kinda sad they don't offer it and it was going to be a birthday gift. :( @ThaiChillyTaco I'm hunting for a 4runner too! I seem to collect toyotas......

I thought it was always only offered for 64+ people. I’ve been doing the 3 yr as long as they’ve offered it and would have definitely done the lifetime if given the chance

We had been researching this since he turned 13. But he didn't need any license til he was 16. We should have done it when he was 13. Lmao...shit.....

I was very lucky to see him right before covid shut the world down. Incredible show! I looked at the Asheville show and tickets were $150. By the time you pay for tickets, hotel, dog boarding, you're talking $500-$600. But if you ever get a chance, definitely make a point to see him.

Got the 500 mile break in done after the re gear. Boy what a difference does
5.29's make on the Tacoma. Truck is fun to drive. Has plenty of power. Stock
gearing felt like a slug. No muscles. Now the Tacoma gets up and goes and pulls
the 20 foot bay boat like a champ. :benchpress:

Holy shit, you're definitely moving with 5.29s on that tire size!

I guess with the 3rd Gen engines 5.29’s are the way to go. Helps getting you into 6 gear with the automatic transmission.

Ah, I wasn't thinking third gen. On the second gen, 5.29s are 315 tire kind of gears, so I was picturing you doing wheelies.

Hell 2 gens are better with 488s on 35s and even those run you RPMs high . . I'm running 456s on the T4R with 35s or the 37s and still have plenty of power to go but again I am a V8

Yea my 07 Tacoma had 35s and stock gears and it did fine but again it was originally a prerunner and I converted it to 4wd so it did have a different tune on it vs a factory 4wd

4.56 and 35's are still technically over-driven on your 4R...hell my 4.56's and 33's SCREAM down the highway. I couldn't imagine going to a 4.88...

So on a 2nd gen tacoma to keep the rpms lower, good power and mpg as high as possible with say a 295 75 16 should I change gears or leave them stock? I'm looking at that size because the new ko3 is available in it. I may also go with 255 85 16 falkens
