When I was done hanging them my wife was in the room and I said I kinda wished I went with the red. She said it’s only because of the red comforter and I can always buy a black one. My daughter came over and said I should have painted the frame racetrack orange.

 

Race track orange would be swell too! I have a few pieces of reack that are black with an orange stripe dow the middle.

I was very surprised to see these on the shelves verse finding a box on a pallet and being the first person to crack open to snag the truck. But hey, was pretty happy about that. I grabbed the Chevy van as well. Then I hit the 96 cent Adventure Force cars at Wally. Not as fancy as the HW/MB but still pretty cool styles and collectability later. Here's a pic from buggy and at home.

I forgot I had more...lol...other cars from this weekend as well. *8edit...and I found this Moving Parts Matchbox Bronco at Target....finally found one!

I saw the two birds sitting there....back in the day I would have grabbed them as well. I already had more than I wanted in my baskett...so I passed on those. I should have at least gotten one.

 

Hot Wheels 59-62 Corvettes. The one with primered front end was inspired by the racers I see wreck on Sunday and show up at the next event the following weekend ready to race again sort of. The red and white Corvettes were painted at the same time with totally different results. I just bought the can of red and it was full. The white paint did not lay as well being older paint and nearly empty. Its gonna be redone.

 

Was at the Rock n Race at Dragway 42 over the weekend. Huge turn out along with sometimes brutal humidity and 92 degree heat. Shade was hard to find and so were clouds. 56 Customline Ford is awesome car to see and hear. Traveller is a local legend and has been on the tracks since the 1960s. It originally was a Stone Woods and Cook car Chuck Finders built for them but they didnt like the color and refused delivery so Chuck raced it against them. White 59 Ranchero is just weird in a cool way. You dont have to guess who the guy driving the 64 Nova called The Boss is going to vote for. I thought the pairing of a 30 Ford slingshot dragster and his riding mower tow vehicle made a great combination.

What's the copyright date on the back of the Impala card?

 

Speaking of Copyright dates.. I found this today that clearly says new for 2020.. hut the Copyright date on the back of the card is 2017.

 

Good Monday everyone. Scored a day off with the lady. Had to run outta town to meet some of her fam for lunch. Scored some goods at a Target and a little one at 7/11. Not too bad for a Monday
