how are you guys wiring your DD SS3 Pro with backlight function? I also want to install a raptor lights without tapping to the fusebox. What solution do you guys have? Any help would be greatly appreciated.

A few, mainly added skids. I like leaving the suspension alone. I drive forest service dirt roafs in the desert west extremely extremely too fast. Toyota nailed this suspension going 65 across desert terrain. Changing it is dumb unless you have a specific need like crawling or mud.

Lol.. great reply to a stupid question.

I believe there’s a harness you can buy that makes the backlight plug and play but it I’m not sure if it works with the LEDs. It might be an easier option vs splicing into the drls with those shitty T taps that they recommend

I can't remember where I got it, but there's a switch that I used on my ditch lights that I can choose to turn on the backlight or the ditch light. I just had to tap a wire with one of those t-connector or whatever they are called, but it works good.

Can I ask why you dont want to run the raptor lights to the fuse box? It's the easiest option and requires zero cutting or t-taps.

I don't trust T-taps and if I can prevent using the fusebox that would be awesome.

Use an add-a-fuse type connector like this. No t-taps or splicing

I'm wanting a pair of Diode Dynamic lights to come on/off with the ignition (no switch). Is this a way I can tap into switched power at the fuse box for this?
I don't want to add current draw to my OEM head/fog circuit and I don't want to manually turn the new lights on/off with a switch, a little help please?

You can fuse tap anything you want - for that I would find a circuit that is one when ING is powered and tap it. Not sure what you mean by adding current draw to the circuit? I presume you mean tapping after the fuse?

for my raptor lights I used a fuse tap on the headlights so are only on when my headlights are, thou I plan to upgrade to OEM LED and have a harness that has a circuit premade to power raptor lights

"Not sure what you mean by adding current draw to the circuit? I presume you mean tapping after the fuse?"
What I mean is, if I cut/splice into power for OEM fog (after the fuse) I'm afraid the current draw of the additional lights may be too much?
Obviously, I know very little about electrical except, newer vehicles can be sensitive to things like this.

The lights would go into "wings" of the Body Armor bumper and, I drive with head/fog lights on 24/7. I would like these on with that system or, directly wired to switched power at the fuse box if I can identify such. Is that "add-a-fuse" connector a good way to do this?
